Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Review

Reviewed by Cam Shea on Nintendo Switch.

“Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury packs a tonne of engaging gameplay, but neither component comes together as elegantly as it might have done. This is a solid option if you’re craving more Super Mario for your Switch, but it’s not the moustachioed must-play I was hoping for.”

  1. This is the first time I've heard IGN given some negative review of a mainline Mario game in an very long time. Granted, it wasn't an big or an huge negative. But still. Usually, they given any mainline 3D Mario games an perfect score despite it's quarks here & there.

  2. I think that this review is scewed a little bit. As someone who never got to play mario 3d world til now, I think I can easily say this game is at least a 9 of 10. I missed out on the game because I was serving in the usmc and having played it on the switch, I really enjoyrd it. Sure, the main game has some fixed camera angles but that never really bothered me. And boswers fury was especially impressive because it kind of felt like mario 64 rather than odessy. While i like odessy, i wanted to be in more mario estetic worlds. So this game really did fill a void for a long time for me. I think that the person reviewing this is giving a genuine depiction of how they feel due to the fact that they played thw game. However if you are like me and have ywt to ever play it, this will blow your mind.
