idk tbh they shouldnt call this resident evil. resident evil originally was never about vampires. it kinda ruins the other stories.. the story looks good but i just wish they would of separated it into a different game/franchise.

That opening sequence must have been done by the same animators that did the "Deathly Hallows" animation. That was my first thought watching it.
The vampire legend comes from Romania. The whole game seems to present a bunch of Romanian references: first, the rural area seems pretty much like any Romanian village with the graveyard and the resemblance of the crosses on the walls ; you're collecting some kind of money that are called "lei" which is the Romanian currency; and the fact that at the beginning Mia said "ciorba de legume" (=vegetables soup) might mean that she's a descendent of the Dumitrescu kind? Bring it on game!!
