T'au Empire vs Necrons – 2000 points 9th edition Warhammer 40k Battle Report



The 5th sphere of expansion has pushed the T’au Empire back through the Startide Nexus to continue it’s path to lead those races lost and in need to the greater good. Unfortunately, when the T’au finally make planet fall on a lush green planet, inhabited with life, they didn’t expect to run into the Szarekhan Necron forces, who had been destroying all life on the planet, to reclaim it for their dynasty. The T’au are being crushed as the overwhelming forces of the Necrons bear down on them. As a hero arrives just in time to spare them, will the T’au be able to overcome, or will the Necrons exterminate the T’au who dare to stand in their path?   1. Hey guys, lovely studio and love me some tau. Need a top down cam for us to see action and also I think the microphone is to close to the dice tray, cant hear you guys but hear banging of dice

  2. Nice battle report. Would be good if you could describe more what's happening on the far side of the table from the camera (ie. near you) as it can be hard to see what's going on.

    Great studio and selection of armies. Was a bit hard to hear with the audio but I appreciate you're working on that.

    Rules comment: You can role each weapon at a time, however I wouldn't even bother in the scenario you mentioned (it would take ages longer and may not even add anything). Only time I'd voluntarily roll separately is with markerlights until I had the first hit as the faq specifies that later shots would benefit from the reroll 1s from the first markerlight hit.

  3. Nice discussion at the end.

    Maybe use some obscuring terrain and use of strategic reserve to reduce the impact of who goes first.

    Crisis suits only work with the Veteran stratagem which you can only put on 1 unit. Flamers as a 2nd unit could work.

    After you have enough fire warriors for infantry requirements for secondaries and replace the rest with gun drones which are only a single point more expensive.
