  1. i really like demo especially cuz due to demoncore proccs and call of willing, which makes you more mobile at some times that destruction. i hope they get buffed furthermore, so demo doesn't become anti meta

  2. I was just leveling a demo lock before I watched this video and I was thinking to myself- this cranks in AOE but I imagine it's probably struggling in raid. Good to know that I was right on the dot with that call.

  3. As an feral main even if u do a perfect rotation still needs a really well builded gear and still damage it's not competitive. Feral just need a little buff in damage imop it's just a perfect spec just lack some damage

  4. Survival needs:
    – Better talent choices
    – Mongoose Bite baseline
    – Longer DOT for Serpent Sting
    – 2 Wildfire charges baseline
    – I would like Camo baseline (since it fits the spec theme perfectly)

  5. I prefer much more the old Demo Warlock rather than playing with all these millions of pets. Current demo version just feels too much hazzle and less impactful, I prefer to do the damage by myself and not through NPC. I do not mind few demons here and there but atm there is too much. Cut the demons half and make the warlock be the Tyrant, and we have a good start. 😉

  6. That's a good point about Feral and I agree from what I've seen so far. I am leveling a Druid and it's literally faster and easier to quest as Guardian because the rotation is simpler, I deal enough damage, and I don't have to stop to heal after each and every fight. We have one guy in my Horde guild who still plays Feral but everyone else I know of gave up on it, usually years ago. It is simply too hard to play, and in all the wrong ways.

Can you get good numbers out of Feral if you really master it? Yes, but you can do more DPS more reliably with less friction with another class. Raid spots for melee will probably be more limited in early Shadowlands and if you want to run keys you'll hear no end of "better off Resto."

The rotation is just plain bad- juggling dots, combo points, and energy without anything that really makes all that flow smoothly like Assassination has. Feral's rotation feels worse than Outlaw Rogue, which arguably has more utility, survivability, and flexibility. Speaking of which, the kitty cat is a paper tiger. I ended most fights around 50% health and died way too often. It feels squishier than Enhancement Shaman, though I understand that spec better.

Just look at the Easy Mode guides on Icy Veins. We've reached a point where Balance is easier to play than Feral, and Boomkin just got an overhaul. Then look at the regular guide. It just looks like this spec is a mess, huh?

You have basically the same utility in the other Druid specs; you can even shift to Cat Form to use Stealth. So in Guardian, I'm a tank, but I can Stealth. Why would I ever actually play in the Feral spec?

I am an amateur game designer. I know how tricky a "jack of all trades" can be. I can understand why it's been hard for the Devs to give the Druid specs a good, solid identity and balance it with other classes. It would suck if they could do anything that any other class could do, only better. But– Balance just got an overhaul and felt great on the PTR FWIW. Guardian seems good for what it is; somebody has to be the simplest tank. Resto is a popular healer with some useful strengths. I think Feral is salvageable but it needs more work.

My suggestions from admittedly limited experience: 1) make Cat Form tougher baseline, before cooldowns. Something as simple as a little more health and armor could go a long way. 2) Give Rake an 8 or 10 Second CD and make it generate 2 CP. (I don't think straight-up copying Mutilate would work as well.) This could be good as a talent option, as there's probably still enough room to cut some chaff and squeeze it in. I mean, none of Feral's talents help with combo points? Seriously? And there is no way to generate two with one GCD outside of the new Berserk and RNG? Ugh. 3) Rework/revert the changes to interactions between Stealth, Rake, Shred, and Berserk. The last thing this spec needs is more complication and a "fix" that only looks worse, at least until we're level capped again. Why does Berserk need to reference Stealth? Just make it buff those spells directly if that's what you want. As for combo points, why can't Berserk simply generate 2 right off the bat? Sure, taking it off the GCD is good, but the rest makes no sense to me; it looks needlessly complicated and unreliable.
Anyway, I need to wrap this up…

  7. Blizzard never knows what to do with arms they want it to be "the slow juggernaut" and having huge mortal strike hits but this current iterration of arms i feel like it just meh its ok but not the greatest. Legion arms was fairly fun with focused rage and then they got rid of it and also getting rid of executioners precision really hurt arms overall and now we are just kinda there. It sucks that this spec is never quite right in pve but a great one always in terms of pvp as I feel it never gets the love it deserves. Like who doesn't wanna use a giant weapon and beat your enemies to a pulp.
