Sitting on pile of primogems is not the correct F2P way of playing. Even as F2P, after you run out od primogems, you still get them at slow but steady rate from commissions, battlepass, spiral abys, and events. You can make a wish every few days and you keep getting new stuff or improving the stuff you already have. And every now and then, you get a 5-star. It's fine to save for a 5* of your dreams but sitting on any more than 28800 primogems is pointless, you're just making your gameplay more boring now in the name of not having it less boring in the future.

i mean, im not trying to tell him how to use his primos, but he literally has over 400 pulls saved, he can pity any 5 star character he wants, twice over, whys is he stressed about hitting a 5 star? if he really wanted rosaria he can do another 100 pulls, hit childe, and still have enough for ayaka or whoever it is he is saving for.

I was trying to get childe but I got rosaria on my first 10th pity. Rolled again but I got another rosaria. My rosaria's at C1 now. I don't really want her (because I already have a leveled up ganyu, qiqi, chongyun and kaeya). Conclusion, this game doesn't really give you what you want.
Normally i'd have laughed… But now i feel sad. It's ok man. She'll come back.
Before pulling I was so excited that Envi was going to get a new character but after this I was literally sad that he got no luck on his pulls. But at least he got Fischl constellation 👀

It was a shame man, but we have to remember we are playing a gacha: if you are f2p you can't afford to buy luck. I rolled 52 wishes on Chiede banner: i got 2 fischl and 3 weapons. My next roll is a guaranteed 4 star banner character but i really don't want Chile. I want Zhongli! Sure, I'm still far from pity, right? Well, technically yes. But my first time I rolled on a special banner (the last one with Venti) I won the 50/50 after 62 wishes. Was I extremly lucky? Yes, but It could happen again. Pity is at 90, buy you may get a 5 star early: it's a gacha. And if you really don't want the featured 5 star, even Rosaria is not worth the 50/50.

Mad respect for you for knowing when to stop. And you're totally right, btw. I have gotten 2 5* dupes I didn't need or want because of "building pity." Building pity is a trap, had to learn that the hard way. Even as a baby whale I feel so bad just thinking about it, I know it must feel much worse for F2P.
This hurts even more since my Rosaria summon experience was exactly like Envis. I stopped after 62 pulls without Rosaria.
guys, don't ever pull for 4 star characters that you wanted, expecting from 33.3% probability is gambling and we knew already when you don't get it, it just sucks. 4 star is considered like a giveaway from RNG while chasing the 5 star so you don't be dissapointed

Me who got 3 rosaria in 10 pull: uhm i am sorry (i feel dam guilty for some reason)
I have 90 pulls saved, at 0 pity, and my next 5 star is guaranteed to be the limited banner character. I really want rosaria but I don't even want to risk getting spooked by tartaglia even at 0 pity, rosaria is a 4 star, she'll be on future banners and she'll get added to the standard roster. She might even be added to the shop in the future, there will be many more opportunities to get her. This banner is a massive trap, the only character worth getting is rosaria, the other 4 stars have been featured multiple times, been in the shop, and been given away in the game or events. And tartaglia, though fun and still powerful, has already been power crept HARD! My advice is if this banner has nothing you want except a single 4 star, then skip it. Skipping a 5 star means you have to wait at least 6 months for a rerun, skipping a 4 star means maybe a month or 2 to wait before they get a rate up again.
