You read the book and you will undertand. The thief died in the donjon and Wheeler thé party Go deliver the statuette the y met the songer and died too later because the y havé too many membre in the party.

The wizard intern moved away from the dwarf one square into the safe zone
That counted as a 5 feet step and so he didn't provoke an attack of opportunity. If he had to move more than that one square the dwarf would have been able to attack him. It's actually pretty accurate all told.
I'm gonna be honest, that fight was completly in character. I could totaly picture these dingus gathering around a barrel of explosives thinking they are completly safe.XD
I'm loving the tabletop rpg vibes of this game.
The rune staff of curse and the scroll of stupidity are there like in the original version. Fun. Unfortunately since there won't be any outdoor content, we won't see Gary Topper turned into a goat so the staff is already identified. 😀
Oh and I bet the Minstrel not going to get splattered by a giant hill troll berserker like in the original so it's fine to level him up. 😀
I'd love to see this continued tbh.
