Wishing a very “bear-y” Christmas to all from the National Museum of Ireland! Tune in to meet eight different types of bears during this special winter-themed virtual event with Museum Educators. Take a sneak peek inside the Museum and learn about the bear family, including polar bears and the extinct brown bear that used to live in Ireland! During this pre-recorded event, short videos will be combined with a virtual exploration of bear specimens from the handling collections, before learning how you can make your very own polar bear or brown bear mask!
Are there any questions you would like to ask about bears? Educators will be online during this event and responding to your questions through YouTube and Facebook comments. Use the comments to ask your bear questions!
Live Q&A with Museum Educators from 11am to 12pm noon on Tuesday, 29 December.
Can’t make the 29th December and really want to ask us a question about bears? Don’t worry, the event will be repeated including a live Q&A with Museum Educators from 11am to 12pm on Monday, 4 January 2021.
