Here's something I noticed that no one's talking about when you play as Chris you see him smoking a cigarette. I feel like that's a callback to the original Resident Evil live action intro when it introduces Chris he's smoking but you never see him smoking again or talking about it either

If they didn't slapped the Resident Evil name on this one this could've pass as an excellent stand alone title. Feels a bit off to be Resident Evil in my opinion. Same like 5 and 6, a lot of action and little suspense. But nice to see they want to connect with the easter eggs nonetheless.

I am so confused by the timeline now. When you reach Mother Mirandas basement, you will find a note from Oswald E. Spencer (Founder of Umbrella Corp) stating that they found a virus in Africa and he's starting the Umbrella Corp with some of his friends. Doesn't this mean that RE 7 and 8 events happened before RE 5?? Isn't Heisenbergs comment a plot hole?
