my mistake was I leveled up all char to 50 in desperation of free wishes
All Atk% pieces on everyone lol. I really thought elemental damage bonuses were too specific and I wanted more well rounded characters… I also had no idea physical damage bonus existed. Didn’t get one until AR 40
My biggest mistake was not knowing this was a gacha, i used primos for refreshes and for bp levels before i even knew what anything was. I was just like oh cool, levels go brrrr
I would say summoning on the weapon banner and only wanting jade cutter. I used 80 wishes and I got jade spear which I also got again on standard banner later and as of now they are my only 5 star weapons. It’s good but I don’t have that many spear users. I’m not even sure if I should use 1 of the spears for the refinements. Other type of mistake that I actually don’t mind is I have yet to have an event exclusive 5 star, I lost albedo to Mona, I got keqing on her banner, then I lost childe and got qiqi. In the end the mistakes aren’t that bad I got rosaria on childe banner so jade spear works really well for her because crit rate and high base attack. Qiqi helped me beat my first abyss. Now I could get zhongli or eula but I see people complain games too easy with zhongli but I do have a dope spear for him. Other hand eula I don’t really have any claymores that are any good that I’m not using.

biggest mistake ive made in genshin. exploring everything and finishing all the quests in week 1. pretty much stopped playing 1 week before 1.1 came out and didnt even login till dragonspine came out. then i got best boi albedo, then diluc from the free standard pulls that came from ascension rewards.

I play since patch 1.1 my BIGGEST MISTAKE so far is pulling Zhongli C2 accidentally when i actually can avoided it. I count my pull at 74. So i thought i gona pull one more time to make it 75. So i can get Eula on 76, but then that GOLD color appeared and it's a fucking Zhongli. I still regret it till this second. If only i can't resist my self to stop pulling and wait till Eula banner release i would become Eula Haver. Now my chance to get her is 50/50 and i don't even have enough primo. I don't want to spend another $100 for a character 😢

Building a lot of characters, being lazy at farming most important resources, most of my mistakes are just me being lazy and impatient. Farming the same domain for monthsto realize that getting the last piece of a 4 pc set is just not worth it. I could have just slapped a god tier off piece artifact but I decided not to and therefore concluded that 4 pc bonuses are basically whale territory. The only 4 pc that i think is truly a must have is Noblesse and Veridescent. So i decided to make a new acc and now everything is so much better. I sold that pervious acc btw. Also I pulled too much DPS and regretted it because I literally can't use it due to lack of resources now i only pull for supports since the cost much less resources and have much more longevity
mine is not properly investing on the artifacts and talents on my supports believing that my dps characters will carry me, then abyss floor 11 happened

Took me a while to think of it, but my biggest mistake was recent – I finished the world ascension quest to get me to World Lvl 6, so now if I revert the minimum will stay at Lvl 5.
I thought 5* artifacts were tied to world level (I guess they are a bit, but really it’s more directly related to AR). Now every domain is challenging for my builds
