In this JLPT Kanji series, we will be covering every single kanji from the JLPT N5 level and cover all of the readings from the 10,000 most useful word list according to Kanshudo.com. In much the same way as the Grammar Series will go through a rollercoaster ride of all your favourite video games so that you can learn with context exactly how Kanji are used in Japanese. Master the Kanji for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N4 Level with the help of video games!!

This video is Part 1 of 8 where we cover every single Kanji in the JLPT N5 level.

After the series is complete I will compile them all together into one MEGA video like the Grammar series is made.

  1. Even if you learned the N5 kanji, even disregarding the review, videos like these are amazing for practicing understanding of sentences made for natives (as opposed to textbook examples) with a translation. All of it presented as different video games to make it so interesting <3

  2. Let’s gooooooo, so I’m guessing we’ll be doing 12 – 13 N5 kanji per video to get through all 100 in 8 parts, that’s a very manageable amount for each video (I think these are a lot harder to learn all at once than grammar, so I don’t think a format like that of the grammar video where we get all kanji in one video would work for retaining information anyways, separating them into bite sized chunks like this seems better). Looking forward to the premiere!

  5. This is so cool! I really appreciate all the hard work you do. I've got the N5 kanji down but I'll definitely be recommending this to a beginner friend. 🙂

  6. I can easily say after watching almost all of your videos that i find them to be single most usefull tool for mastering grammar and vocab and now kanji…all those techniques of study, which are fun, compeling and well organised is what i had on my mind for a very long time and now finally i found someone actually doing it. For that i am truly grateful! You´ve got yourself a new patreon Matt! お疲れ様で敷いた!

  7. I absolutely love how you care about other people and their passion for wanting to learn Japanese, the amount of effort and extra little information is above and beyond and I think a lot of people appreciate that, I already knew most of this from WaniKani but I still watched all the way through because I just appreciate your ability to go so in depth and I even learnt some new stuff
