  1. Do you think the network packets might need a diet, there used to be an issue where cheaters could know everyone else's inventory. You make sure that's ONLY available upon looting. Also I heard nikita mention json, json is not a good protocol, when there's bson, messagepack, protobuf, and doing in the old school object packets way. So much can be improved.

  2. with arena coming in, pvp in general will hopefully happen more often in normal tarkov than ratting so the lesser skilled players have a chance to practice that instead of spawn in a giant map and hope they make it to the pvp areas and learn.

  3. Another explanation for the ghost footsteps. Sometimes you spawn things during loading screens outside the actual visual map. This is usually to avoid performance impact while the players are "live" on the map like the microstutters we've always linked to spawning scavs.

  4. Have you heard it sound like someone is spawning in right next to you while your moving around the map? Cause i have had it a lot Monday night. Then I think I got the ghost footsteps last night.

  5. might be a hot take, but i really hope BSG goes deeper into some more ‘spooky’ type stuff like the cult, loved the impact that had on the community at first where people were arguing if they even existed, trying to find their spawns, making thermals a must on cult maps, etc

why not have a temporary ‘infection’ event with full blown scav zombies, or ghost npc pmc operators?

the gritty, dark atmosphere of the game lends itself to that kind of thing while the inherent realism to the gameplay would maintain player immersion if they decided to go more into that route, just somethin to break up the monotony and keep veteran players on the edge of their seats further into the wipe

  6. It would be nice if they could get all this in the game but there is so much broken. Yes I know the game is still being worked on, but I have had soooooo many issues with this recent patch that its nearly unplayable. 3 times so far I have gotten stuck in a grenade throw animation and cant do anything. I cant use my gun, cant move inventory, nothing, just a sitting duck until I extract. The de-sync is horrid and keeps getting me killed because I freeze for 2 seconds every time I put my crosshairs on a player. The lag that happens everytime you get close to another player. The ghost step that hasn't been fixed. Scavs that take 15 bullets to kill that arent wearing armor. The list just keeps going.. It would be nice to see the new areas, yet really feels dreamy with the current state of gameplay.

  7. i honestly think we should go back to being able to not put anything we find raid into our container. this makes it so where there’s actually some fights over loot, and the possibility of getting a highly valued item would still be there. they could also lock all extracts until 10 minutes after raid start, so either you spend time in the raid looting and fighting, or you’re sitting there and you get walked up on lol
