Ha ha! My beautiful roof vents aren't doing anything then! 😀
Holy smoke, that is a good helping tip.
Super useful information for campfires for sure, but i do wonder how hearths and bonfires differ, your video certainly gave me the methodology to test it myself though, thank you sir.
In my most recent build, i have all my fires and furnaces venting to one lare central chimney.
Thank you, this video was indeed very informational
Seeing that attic made me think they should incorporate Smoked meat racks to smoke meat with a fireplace and a smoke room.
Ohhh. I didn’t know smoke could smother a fire either
Dude I think you milked this game for all it's worth time to move on…
it's interesting to watch and i appreciate this but ill not use the blocking method it just kill the immersion for me.
even the one that don't really vent the smoke it still better than block and wait it to disappear.
Very good presentation🙃
Thanks for testing it out for us man!
Perfect! Thank you so much for such a deep dive! <3
Let’s smoke some meat for more HP and stamina.
I was waiting for this because of your letsplay
Nice
So I can use banners instead of wood as chimneys making a kinda Princess bed that has the 3 sides of curtains (3 banners, one wood wall up? I have to try that, though I with my forward bases just make the fire on the outside of my wall by my bed, put one roof over it, and I'm good. (I like signally to all my enemies where I'm sleeping) My recurring issue though is this: when I cook (cauldron too), I have trouble sometimes pulling the cooked stuff off the racks, or getting close enough and not getting smoke inhalation, and/or having to trigger the cauldron with my face smashed against the chimney wood, so it doesn't feel immersive … any suggestions for that?
smoke physics so coooooool!
Yeah it can be maddening how much space smoke needs to vent properly. So many of my early attempts went like "Okay, surely this is enough of a gap…OH COME ON!?!?!"
Hate to be a hater but I always skip the first ten seconds of your videos
I'm enjoying making realistic chimneys! I do wish the particles were a little smaller though
Too bad you can't use the smoke attic to smoke your fish and meat.
"three-part smoke catcher" sounds like something a Scout Master would send a naive scout out to find at a Boy Scout jamboree.
Funny, I never noticed any of this, because I always have used a full sized chimney.
This explains why the hearth in my kitchen keeps going out! Thank you so much! 👍👍👍
Dis information iz extremely usefull for my juice project.
You can delete things by middle clicking/clicking the mouse wheel. You don't have to switch back to the hammer.
What if you use the iron door as a window? (Hide the lower half in wood) does smoke leak through?
can the smoke kill PNP ? Make a NPC smoking trap ?
for multi story builds a fun ventilation fact is that smoke will travel through the underside of a hearth so you can use the same vent for a brazier in the basement as you the hearth on the ground floor with some creative placement of the hearth over an opening in the floor.
