Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is an upcoming online action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 15, 2019.

Played from a third-person perspective, the game takes place in Washington D.C. 7 months after its predecessor, in which a civil war between survivors and villainous bands of marauders breaks out. In the game, players can cooperate with each other to complete objectives. The game will also feature raids, which can be completed by up to 8 players.

The game is being worked on by Massive Entertainment. Evaluating the feedback from players regarding the first game, Massive Entertainment planned to include more game content at launch and improve the endgame. The game’s endgame development was prioritised by Massive Entertainment after hearing players’ complaints from the first game.

The game was announced on March 9, 2018, by Ubisoft, with the first gameplay footage being premiered at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 in June 2018, In the Expo, Ubisoft confirmed that the game will be released on 15 March 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A beta is set to be released prior to the game’s launch. After the game’s release, three episodes of downloadable content, which add new story content and gameplay modes, will be released for all players for free.

  2. Thee only time I have ever felt where there is smoke there is NO fire. As a community I believe most of us expected this. This game was done….full stop. Then, it was revived by Ubisoft and now we are to believe this was the plan all along….yea no. Anyways, here's to knowing what we already knew….cheers. Agent out.

  3. Nothing new coming up is brutal. I've already run out of things to do, 11 different loadouts pretty much fine tuned and the DZ sucks. I can't imagine a ton of people sticking around to see the 'late 2021 update' especially with Deatiny 2 announcing cross platform. I love this game but nothing new and shiney to go chase after is a death sentence…

  4. Confirms Div 3 has definitely been pushed back most likely to 2023. No doubt they have made changes later last year when the impacts of covid made it clear March 2022 wouldn't be hit. Oh well might be time to go back to Destiny if they can make the changes they've been talking about.

  5. Aka, don't hold your breath. Today's a good day for Outriders and The Day Before. Question is, how many of us will return to Div 2 in 9 months time? Let's see what they show us at E3.

  6. This is just some BS. Nothing new until later this year whenever that is. I'm done. There are too many other games out here to play. If the new mode is any good perhaps then I'll return.

  7. If the plan was to end the game with that many active players, it's possible that they were already working on another sequel, which has now been delayed. If that were the case, for the next release, I'd like to see the game return to NYC with the original map being part of the new expanded map including Central Park, and Lower Manhattan from WONY. It would be a great way to return to some of the mechanics from D1 that worked better than D2. It could aso bring back and expand upon the Dark Zone from D1, which has been always favored over those from D2.

  8. Great info Epic, thanks for the update…I gotta say I am HUGELY disappointed though, after all this, 8 freaking months?? Really??…what the hell have they been doing all these months with no new content?? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  9. Rerun seasons with no new rewards or new skills and just getting stuff that we missed yea fk that what a waste of time at this point I may as well quit playing until the next update comes out this year sometime

  10. I'm not even sure why they'd announce something so lackluster. Destiny definitely has 95% of the looter shooter attention, with Anthem's death, and Division 2's.. seeming lack of future expansion. Glad Bungie's expanding and picking up some serious steam this season/year. 🙏🏽

  11. Its mindboggling how so many of you talk crap about Div2 but your still here waiting and watching for new content or stuff to happen in the game. Just move on if your done and STFU! Go cry somewhere else

  12. Not impressed guys, i mean some information is better than nothing, but other than the free exotics for re running seasons and such. Well at least that means nothing will interfere with my Outriders experience. Lol

  13. So all my grinding getting God rolls on gear & weapons was a waste of time then !!. Great !, No update, just a new game mode that won't come till late November at the earliest !.. Game is over as far as I am concerned now . Very disappointed, I don't want to do more re-runs ,been doing them for the past six months tbh. Nah, uninstall & play something else methinks.. Bye ,Bye Division ,it was fun while it lasted !

  14. I dig the video, Epic! Thanks for sharing. I saw it pop up in discord early today and was like fuck yes! We finally have information to go off of. Part of me also feels that the statement " some of you already may have figured out this was supposed to be the end of the Division 2, but sure to the support eye creating more…" Could've possibly been a sales tactic in efforts to further commodify the franchise. Not then again there's no fully knowing without further info on the matter itself. All in all I'm stoked

  15. In order to glorifying themselves they show now numbers to impress the community about the great success, why not showing statistics like the number of crashes reported, the number of rainbow loot drop, the number of useless weapons and talents not being used, the number of agents being one shot killed by red npcs, number of players that quit the game after the ban wave and reroll back measures, number of mid-max loot drop on heroic and legendary missions etc.. about the new content it's simply ridiculous, they really think people would be hyped with old recycled seasons, are you really serious Massive?

  16. Looks like I'll be returning to the division 2 in 8 months. And I hear that and I suspect that many of you will be going to outriders but they need to fix that game before I would ever consider getting the full version of it

  17. Is it just me or is all this new "news" just in retaliation to all the Outriders buzz? They want to keep us around but won't be able to deliver until who knows when. Sad days ahead I think

  18. I've got to the point now where I have only 5 exotics to get and as a solo player now I'll not be doing the raids so that's 3 I can't get.
When I get the other 2 there will be nothing left and yes I have all 26 hunter's masks.
We need new content I was hoping for a DLC I mean they have the number's to warrant one.

  19. No offense but which part of recycling season 1 onwards is huge news? Plus the new game modes could probably take 5 to 7 months before it will be released, for new players that's great news but for the old players? Yikes.

  20. This is horrendous and to expect proper new content until end of the year is hilarious. Majority of the playerbase will be playing other games because new games are released all the time. They really squandered the potential to be THE looter shooter and overall i'm disappointed and I expect other content creators to be disappointed too with how much effort they did keeping this game alive and clearly showing more passion than the dev team ever had for their own product

  21. Well I hope content creators shelve this game for a while and not talk about it. Since they are basically saying there is no new content till late this year. Outriders it is then and looking forward to E3.

  22. So no new expansion..or no more story dlc, well thats expected..as they are saving that for the div 3 which may be releasing like after 4 to 5 year as when the new console arrives as i guess..till then this new mode "may" have repeatibilty which all player want🙄🙄🙄 and the gear is going to get changed as without that we have nothing to grind so gear 3.0 is welcomed and hope they do something abt matchmaking on how you choose team mates on their build which will be a great thing if they implemented. a group with role play will be awesome with this game it will make people play more a group with role play player for mission will great..

  23. This is not good news at all. This game was dead in the water until something somewhere jolted Ubi/Massive into action, that's why new content is right at the design concept phase. There's no way this is dropping til Q1 2022. Also, whenever they mention "Build Diversity" it means they are going to screw around and de-buff every good piece of gear, skill and weapon in the game.
