The version tested was 1.31. Note that PS5 is running this via backwards compatibility.

Patch 1.31 on PS5 adds in the fog and screen space reflections that were missing in version 1.30. The black crush also seems to be fixed on PS5 with patch 1.31.

Significant performance issues were encountered when first testing the game on this patch http://bit.ly/3aq52kI These performance issues couldn’t be replicated after reinstalling the game and restarting the PS5.

PS5 uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being approximately 3456Γ—1944 and the lowest native resolution found being 1920Γ—1080. Native resolution pixel counts above 2400Γ—1350 seem to be rare and native resolution pixel counts at or slightly above 1920Γ—1080 seem to be common. There is a form of temporal reconstruction used that can increase the resolution up to 3840Γ—2160. Note that the highest native resolution found here was in a less demanding scene than the previous test.

  2. Not sure why some of these back compat titles don't just stick to the top pixel count. A game as demanding as Wolfenstein II runs at a locked 60fps at a locked 1440p in PS5's back compat mode.

  3. Again, it doesn't make sense PS4 pro have higher resolution. PS5 should be easily double the fps with the same resolution as PS4 pro. PS5 can do it on Days Gone, it can do it on God of War, it's not reason why Division 2 can't be done.

  4. BC mode on both consoles and it is already knows that the XBOX ONE X was technically stronger than the PS4 PRO so you have both next gen machines running the games on BC mode so the PS5 runs the PS4 PRO version which is with less resolution while the XSX runs the XBOX ONE X with higher resolution. The only way that the PS5 can run this on higher resolution is if the developers will release a patch that bumps up the resolution in the PS4 PRO version. And before you ask what about CONTROL since it is also BC, no it is not BC. The game got next gen upgrades and that is why the PS5 and the XSX are almost on par with adventages to the PS5 on frame rates and some effects like reflections

  5. Like I thought, just a bug. Great that Ubi fixed the visuals on PS5 that fast. I wonder why the SX version now has a SX label on it's cover that wasn't there before. Titles like Doom Eternal recieved a patch for a higher res later on, but it's not officially "optimized", meaning it got more of a backwards compatability – upgrade. I don't think TD2 is just running in that mode like most of you claim. Also the framerate on the SX doesn't dip anymore while the resolution is still higher. However, there will always be games that run and look a little better on PS5 and on the other hand do the same on the SX. I'm excited to see the analysis of the Outriders demo next week, btw. ☺️

  6. Idk if anyone else has had this problem, but I've been having some pretty big frame drops at certain points. Started ever since I completed the Lvl 24 story mission where you have to rescue a surviving agent and reactivate the SHD network. Acted up again when I was in combat in a thunderstorm. Sometimes it'll flare up behind cover in certain areas, but it immediately goes away whenever I'm ADS'ing, oddly enough.

  7. So basically the game runs at 1080p most of the time????… I'm an xbox gamer and I really don't trust this guy.. But if thus is true.. Is ridiculous for ps5….. πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ
