I saw an article which claims that a Bethesda insider alleges that tes 6 will be out in 2026 so it makes sense if Starfield comes out this year since Bethesda typically have 4 or 5 years between their game launches.
Microsoft doesn’t make any sense to me. It’s not a matter of NEEDING to put the games that they own on other platforms, but they choose to do so. Minecraft doesn’t NEED to be on PlayStation, yet they choose for it to be there. They also don’t NEED to put future Bethesda games on PlayStation, but Xbox’s management team’s recent statements about Xbox exclusivity don’t suggest 1st party exclusivity at all:
I have a feeling that a lot of Bethesda’s future games will be Xbox Game Pass platform (Xbox/PC/Mobile etc.) timed exclusives, and then release elsewhere after that timed exclusivity ends. That’s just the vibe Microsoft continues to give off that I’m picking up on.
I really hope Microsoft gets Bethesda, Tencent is looking to takeover a lot of American studios right now. I'd rather not have Elder Scrolls' future be in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party. The American Corporate Communists are bad enough.
