  1. Weren't there mods that were being ripped from the Nexus and put on the Creation Club without the mod author's consent?
I heard that at some point and that's what got me against the Creation Club.
Edit: Also, Fallout: the Frontier is solid proof that Bethesda shouldn't hire mod authors. I will never look at Deathclaws the same way again.

  2. People expect a game that's made for a very huge market with a margin of personal tastes to be better than a game they handcrafted and turned exactly to their liking by using mods. It's just not happening. Bethesda doesn't personally create games for you.

  3. Not gonna lie . . the buggy mess Skyrim released in was never excusable. We overlooked it because we could mod the bugginess away . . Eventually. Broken games are not acceptable, by any means. Of course this is not the dev's fault, its the executives. I'm going to still hold Bethesda responsible and give them flak if they release something with game breaking bugs. Fallout 76's launch was plagued with bugs, many rendering the game entirely unplayable. Fallout 4 also had this issue and some things still have not been fixed. I'm not saying I don't have faith, I'm just saying that they need to step up to the plate and be better.

We meme about Bugthesda, but a AAA studio should not be relying on mods to fix their games eventually – I think they learned this with Fallout 76, which does not seem like it'll ever receive mod support (Another broken promise).

  4. 5:24 this reminds me a lot of all the youtubers a few years ago that were bashing Skyrim. Skyrim sold over 20 million copies for a reason. I hate to see people today bashing skyrim, Bethesda, and Todd Howard just to make a quick few dollars and some internet fame.

  5. That's the thing innit? "Just fine", is not enough. The games are getting less and less RPGs by the title.

Just Skyrim itself, ironically regarded as "one of the best RPGs" is really not that RPG at all. You can be a Nordic warrior with nothing magic, exceot a basic flame spell. And with only a spell, and a lesser ward spell that you are forced to learn, you can become an Arch Mage. ARCH MAGE!! Even if all your magic skills are only in level 15.

What about the Companions? You are forced to become a werewolf, without being able to deny it. And… well, they are less a fighters guild, and more of a wolf pack guild.

And lets.not tall about the Dark Brotherhood. When you compare the assassination in Skyrim with Oblivion's… well, it was literally trash.

Honestly thieves guild was the only guild that felt it was done with love.

And the Bard's College? Well… I dont think I nees to say amhtbing about that do I?

  6. This is why people need to form their own opinions instead of following what others say, they say the do or will but subconsciously still follow like a sheep, thanks for the video burns we’re glad you’re in this community

  7. If they make a voiced protagonist I hope they will add different voice options unlike Fallout 4 where the main character has a 35 Years Old voice, so you can't roleplay as a younger charater or an elder character. If this method is too expensive for them, then let the main character mute with only effort (hurt/attack) sounds just like Skyrim

  8. This was so refreshing. But agreed, I'm really not in a rush at all. I'm just looking forward to roleplaying on Skywind and Skyblivion, and I know they'll keep me occupied for another 20 years. – Merlin

  9. Whole lot of truth packed into this video. Seriously, I haven't finished it yet but you're basically saying the same things I've been thinking for a long time but thought no one else would agree if I said them

  10. This really gave me a different perspective on Bethesda. I think I was one of those fans who just listened to the big YouTubers, but now I'm going to actually play the game and get my own opinion.
Great Ted Talk, great vid, and every time I watch one of your videos I remember how much I like your editing style. Keep up the good work

  11. Game will be ok, it will never live up to any of the other installments that came before it that's a well known fact but i feel like it won't flop at release either, it will probably share the same fate as outer worlds.
maybe with a few more weeks of hyper after release than the 1 week the outer worlds had.

  12. Just wanted to say that your characters look awesome. Fat Thor has a spiffy beard and your elf lady looks she can kick butt. What mods do you use for character creation?

  13. I gonna say something to people who question "weather is it fair to play creators one and not give them profit". The Creator are not expected to cover for the looses due to the content not selling as well. We all like to look the good side and completely forget to look dark side. If a content sale doesn't make up for the cost of creating the content the losses sustained does not affect the mod authors. If the cc content does badly they are not expected to return their paycheck but the company that payed them lost the money anyway.

  14. I see your heart in this one HB. I grew up with Bethesda. They have had their hands on the most memorable and enjoyable gaming experiences I've ever had.

Besides, what about when ES6 is on its 10year modding community on nexus. It's going to be amazing.

New Official Bethesda Content always leads to an Era of entertainment. First the thousands of base game hours, then the hundreds on thousands of modders and the perfectionist hours.

    Well Said
