Let’s talk about Elder Scrolls Online because it is a very immersive, very awesome MMO that I think deserves your attention and today I want to cover the good the bad and why I think it’s worth your time while you wait for Pantheon Rise of the Fallen. Also, I want to give some tips that REALLY help this game feel more MMORPG at least in my opinion. Elder Scrolls Online has always felt like a single player experience that just happened to also be an MMO and although I really always enjoyed the lore and the world, I never could dedicate a lot of time to it. These option changes in the settings really are helping me with that. I hope you enjoy!
The Elder Scrolls Online, also known as The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, and commonly abbreviated as ESO, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that was announced in May 2012 and was released for PC and Mac on April 4th, 2014. It is the eighth game in The Elder Scrolls series. On June 9th, 2015, the game was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Developed by the team at ZeniMax Online Studios, The Elder Scrolls Online merges the unmatched exploration of rich worlds that the franchise is known for with the scale and social aspects of a massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
The Elder Scrolls Online features a buy-to-play model similar to previous Elder Scrolls titles, where one purchases the game for a flat fee and can play it for free afterwards, but there is also an optional membership program, ESO Plus, which grants bonuses such as increased XP gain and free access to all DLC Packs. The game has an in-game cash shop, the Crown Store, where things such as vanity items and cosmetic mounts are sold for a premium currency called Crowns, but nothing that gives players a significant advantage over another will be sold.

ESO is fantastic and yet I can't play it for more than a month. Never seen a game that vacillates more between player freedom and forced meta game play in my life.
ESO is okay I was not a fan of the limited amount of attacks one has. The finding map parts to find loot was very nice inclusion, I remember finding just a single piece a few times and finding the loot because I happened to have that section of the map already discovered :).
Nathan, this is one I could not get into. I bought it when it came out. Huge fan of Skyrim and Morrowind. But I could never get into it. I bet I played it a week back in 2014 and never turned it back on. I guess I am not much of a fan of a hybrid game like this one. Either be an MMO or be a single player LOL
ESO is so bad it causes me pain 🙁
ESO certainly has it's good points, and draw backs, just like any and every MMO right now.
Where the game shines the brightest is the storylines, housing and other RP things, and amount of things to do. The thieves guild and dark brotherhood are very fun activities, and Cyrodill can be great fun too if you have a squad to bulldoze with.
The open world adventuring is truly at it's best in a duo group. With more than that it's kind of a face roll every where except instances content. I really enjoy healing in dungeons, super active role with a good variation of spells between your class heals and restoration staff skills. ESO is a game that needs time invested to get the most out of it, like any mmo, but more so with ESO to just get a grasp on everything that's unique about it. It's a fun game and well worth the box price of base game. If you ever want to run dungeons, or quest around hit me up!
Some really great add-ons to make it better. Love the game, been in since Beta, but I also take breaks (many of them).
PS5 can run it at Max settings without skipping a beat.
IMO, the negatives outweigh the positives in ESO. Just my opinion. The things that drive me away from it mainly are PVP and the community.
Haha my co worker just asked me to start playing eso with him. I’ve never gotten past lvl 30 on my characters, but I’ve always enjoyed being able to wander around doing random quests. Something cool I’ve found is single bar builds from hack the minotaur, I really don’t enjoy weapon swapping in mmos.
My favorite current mmo. It's got it's high points, but I have to take breaks. It's got the best leveling experience in any current mmo, story and lore is great. The end game is lacking, but it can be a lot of fun.
I did a lot of this when I played it, makes a huge difference. Didn't think about the target glow thing though, thats good. I generally love to do this to every kind of game I play, I like turning off mini maps in any final fantasy that has it.
In ESO I went from lvl1 to lvl 50 master thief and master in a lot of the crafting. I never grouped or talked to anyone. There was no need so I left because the game was sooo dumb easy.
I am the "healer" for my group, but only our Sorcerer friend plays. I made a Magika Kajhit Nightblade as the healer. Not the best healer, but I love to pickpocket and assassinate people, and that combo benefits from that combination. I can't go 10 minutes without getting a bounty. But, that play style is my favorite thing.
Is yooperwiz from the UP?
