  1. Even with Andersen the leafs were mediocre on goaltending at best. The leafs already have problems on defence and 90% of their players flopping on the ice like a fish out of water when they get hit.

  2. Thought Freddie was a top 10 goalie coming into this year… and he’s blowing it in the AHL?! Mans has 226 NHL wins and 100 losses with a .915 SV. How is this even possible??

  3. I don’t think the Leafs we’re going to resign Anderson after this year l think he believed he was entitled to a raise and the leafs need the money for Zack Hyman. He has been a slow starter his whole career and missing 6 weeks of hockey in the most important stretch of the year doesn’t bode well. How do you take the net away from Campbell who is 17-2-2 with .922 save % you can’t and you don’t. Freddie brings insurance for the playoffs, he will be a back up to Campbell. I feel better with him as a back then I do Hutchinson or Rittich! Freddie was an important part of the Leafs growth and he did his part in making them better. While in Toronto he has never had any goalie competition until now and he has risen to meet it. His career isn’t over but he won’t get more money from the Leafs. As for the AHL stint l don’t put as much stock in as others do because the baby leafs aren’t as good or structured as the parent team but if you want your job back that would have been the best time for Anderson to do it.

  4. For goalies I think you need to watch more than stats. Need to watch his position and puck control etc. To see if he is ready. If you watch Campbell play he doesn't inspire confidence. He is always fighting to save the puck and he is not in control

  5. As a Leaf fan, it hurts that we never gave Freddy the defensive support that we have today. The build up constantly taking the most shots than any goalie for 3 years and his body gave in. I will appreciate Freddy and I hope the Leafs do right by Freddy.
