The End of Rick and Morty (As We Know It)

Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland has been fired by Adult Swim after charges were placed against him in 2020. With Justin Roiland being the voice of Rick and Morty, as well as many other characters throughout the show, what happens next? Should Rick and Morty keep getting new episodes?

Justin Roiland being fired from Rick and Morty isn’t the first time a cartoon creator was forced off their own shows due to their actions. Notable examples in animation history are Ren and Stimpy, Clarence, and The Loud House. These shows continued past their creators’ departures, but how will it affect Rick and Morty?

  1. I still haven’t seen any evidence that Justin Roiland actually did these crimes. I have only seen accusations. If there is evidence out there then someone please show me but until then I don’t think Justin is guilty. Imagine if these accusations were false and he lost his career as a result. If it is proven that he truly did commit the crimes then I understand Adult Swims choice, but I have seen no evidence of this yet

  2. Apparently Justin's behavior and this stuff had been a known secret in the industry for years. It was just successfully kept under wraps until now, I heard that before firing him the team actually wrote a letter. Telling Adult Swim they would refuse to continue working on the show if Justin continued to be involved.

  3. Much of Rick And Morty's questionable episodes are because of Roilands questionable mind, unfortunately, Squanch Games latest release High On Life is going to suffer as it is very much Roiland and his twisted imagination, although it is a great game, it rumoured that they'll be changing all voice acted roles that Roiland played, so Kenny could have a different voice soon, then there's any future dlc, unless Squanch can get into Roilands head, any dlc may become tame and less interesting and harm the games recent popularity.
