Tbh, I see a lot of people complaining about the gendered thing and honestly, the problem isn't the word but the way the "girl" expressed herself. She should have just said "I'm not comfortable with those words" and then, personally, I think she should've said which words she prefers.
That being said, dudes and fellas can be gendered depending from where you are or how you are taught. Personally, they aren't for me but if an other person isn't comfortable then we should respect it.
