  1. Personally I'd be happy to watch this movie along with the " Train Robbers " with John Wayne .
Then " Murder on the Orient Express " and " Von Ryan's Express " with Frank Sinatra .

To say I'd pretty-much watch anything that had a train in it .

  2. Good Freaking Flick! Beautiful sets and locations; amazing equipment … especially that old and smallish steam engine chugging like 60 pulling a full train (probably empty, but so what?!). Lights came on suddenly and bright in all windows of an 1850s mansion (must have had a LOT of servants and several gallons of kerosene). Sean Connery, RIP, left quite the legacy and Donald Sutherland is always a pleasure to watch. Thanks YouTube Movies.

  3. Murder of accomplice at 1:15:19 is unrealistic. It takes far more strength and far longer time to strangle a person with bare hand, victim may loose consciousness, but not die. That compression , sufficient to crush larynx and collapse it sealing airway, has to be held for 3 minutes to be assured of clinical death. A proper garot made of wire and covered in leather cuts that time down to 2 minutes but requires both hands and above average upper body strength..

  5. This movie was a lot of fun. It was just a random movie that YouTube popped up for me, but all of a sudden I remembered that as a kid I was given a copy of the book; don't think I ever read it, though. Sean Connery is a great lead as a master criminal and loveable rogue, while Donald Sutherland is not quite as towering and adds a bit of comedy. The gorgeous Lesley-Anne Down is quite a treat throughout. The production values (sets, costumes, scenery) are very high – amazing detail to recreate various places in 1850s England. The plot is very compelling and there are a number of high-tension, hold-your-breath moments. Just a great movie all around.
