The Greenskin tide in Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k – Lore Overview

In this exploratory video we will learn about the the orcs that inhabit the Warhammer Fantasy world and the orks that plague the galaxy in the 41st millennium. There are more similarities between the greenskins in both universes than one may initially think, but there are also many differences that set them apart. One thing is for sure though: they live for violence and war.

  1. To Waaagh!!🔥 I hope you enjoyed this episode my friends! This video was somewhat different than usual and if you feel it was a bit all over the place, you are probably right. Like stated in the video description, this is more of an exploratory video more than anything else and our first dip into WH40k. The idea is to see what aspects you enjoyed the most while correcting the parts that didn't work so well, let me know in the comments what you think and we'll take it from there.
Also, a massive shoutout to Skrubasauras! our main voice actor. In this episode he made an awesome job as always with the narration but I think the impersonations he made in the quotes of the different characters throughout the whole video must be highlighted.
Have an amazing weekend my friends!! Cheers!🙌

  2. man i really like azhag. his intelligence (although not entirely his intelligence) really makes him stand out from the other warbosses. they definitely could've done something more with him in the end times, like making him ally with nagash or something like that.

  3. The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Aeldari who have failed, or the humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude."

  4. Technically speaking Green-Skins are one of the oldest races in Oldhammer. They arrived as spores on the Old Ones ships where eventually they multiplied. They became so much of a hassle to deal with that the old ones created the Saurus just to deal with them so they could focus on their work. The fact that the old ones couldn't just wipe them out speaks volumes to just how stupidly resilient the green-skins are.

  5. The Warhammer Orc's are probably the most Orc-like next to Tolkien's which I believe is where the concept of Orc's originated and from what I recall the inspiration came from actually fighting in a war once.

  6. "Teef" must have something to do with the reproduction if it's important to them without reason. They probably subconsciously collect items to make bonemeal or something like it so they grow quicker.

‘With orcs, one is never sure who is the hunter and who the hunted.’

'It’s said that orcs are like snakes or lizards: they never stop growing. As they grow older, they get bigger, stronger, tougher.

  8. I still believe humans were a failed prototype by the old ones to make Korks, while we came out intelligent and capable of fast reproduction, we werent fast enough nor physically strong to oppose the metal machines of the necrons, which if you think about it would explain our psychic potential and our somewhat minor hive-mind that gathers up into an "energy of the crowd " our warlike nature and even our ability to adapt. Likely Devolving from the original prototype over the century's eventually but quickly we became humans we know today.

  9. It is contested whether Ork vehicles painted red go faster. Or if Ork vehicles that go faster are painted red. The instinctive knowledge of the Orks, singular and collectively, and the ideosyncracies of Orkineering serving to confuse cause and effect to outside observers.
