One of the guys had balaclava and scav vest, maybe they were going to let him kill the others for the quest? I don't think it works if in party but maybe they didn't know or something.

P.S. You wanted gun build suggestions,
and since you're working on your sniper skill,
here's one for the Mosin Sniper:
Kochetov Mount, Prapor Level 2, ~1.4k your's seemed to be missing one,
Arbalet Patriot K+W mount, Jaeger Level 1, ~2.5k
KMZ 1P69 Weaver mount, Prapor Level 2, ~1.9k
KMZ 1P69 or 1p59 3-10x riflescope, Prapor Level 2, ~24k [~30K subtotal]
Being able to zoom in makes things lot easier to hit. Aim small, miss small.
And with the recent changes that makes ergo far more important:
1P59 scope eyecup, +5 ergo., Prapor Level 2, ~600₽
Sniper carbine stock and 514mm carbine barrel, both Jaeger Level 1, +6ish ergo maybe? ~7.8k [~38k total]
and if your feeling like really pushing the boat out, for that extra ergo.
Tacfire pistol grip (pgmn), flea ~20k +8 ergo.
Aim Sports Recoil pad, flea ~30k +9 ergo. -5 recoil.
~90K total+extras (would be cheaper with Jaeger level 2).
P.P.S. Remember your smoke grenades.

Not only would a standard slug easily go through a door but an armor piercing slug would go clean through and well into the guy standing right behind it… game logic.
You should have swapped UN vests with the dude in the bush @1:04:00 . He had a 50/50 and yours was 33.8/50 at that point… Minor details but all in all a good episode as always!

If you’d be so kind and answer my question I would like to know why my 2 salewa kits that I put in my alpha container are no longer found in raid so I am now unable to turn them in. And yes I died not sure if that has anything to do with it.
I’m so mad rn I just had a salewa for my quest as a scav and I went to extract 40 seconds left at old gas station but I didn’t know scavs had a separate extract behind it so I ran out of time!!!!!
