  1. In a Dishonored sequel, I’d like to see the original concept set in feudal Japan setting. Maybe it’s set in a fantasy type Meiji restoration where the country is just startinf to industrialize yet a lot of traditionalists holding out. Also I want to finally explore Pandyssa. (I feel like the scope of these two settings would be require two separate games.)

  2. Man, Titanfall 2 and Dishonored 2 have 2 levels that are so incredibly similar I figured one must be ripping off the other…. what would be the possibility that they would have the same level ideas for not 1 but 2 very unique levels? Turns out they were released in the same year. I'm really curious if they somehow had knowledge of the other.

  3. When he talked about breaking monotonous gameplay, easily my favourite aspect of the Dishonored series is the simplest puzzle solving feel when you've scaped the whole area looking for a different angle and you finally find a way to get your target.

  4. Great work! Only thing I'm missing is some time spent on the games' excellent music, it brings so much atmosphere to the game. Basically the video should be longer 😉

  5. I adore these Arkane docs – as much as I would have loved any interview with what is one of my favourite game studios, it's incredibly enjoyable to watch them be interviewed by someone who visibly loves their work. Your passion just makes these documentaries a treat to watch!

  7. This documentary made me realize that developers not only make a game to make a game. They are essentially building a portfolio: can we make a level that's able to transform completely? Yes, cool. Can we make a hub that can be summoned to any point in the level? Yes, we can.
It really makes you think about it as a long term progress for a studio rather than long term progress for a specific game….in short, another AMAZING doc guys!

  9. I find it nuts that dishonored 2 and titanfall 2 released within a month of each other and both built in a clockwork style level and a multiple time line levels. All were absolute masterclasses on level design. Was it some kind of convergent evolution or was it that there was some shared talent or ideas somewhere?
