The Medium and Scorn are RIPOFFS!

The Medium and Scorn are hollow shells. They have nothing to offer but their visuals, and even those aren’t original!

  1. Dear Ponstory Games!

Thank you for your video. However, some things here need a clarification.
Polish painter Zdzisław Beksiński and his art were a huge inspiration for The Medium. His paintings can be described as disturbing, gloomy and surreal, which makes them a perfect match for our spirit world, a hostile and sad place where the dead linger. He was a true master for many of us.
As Polish developers, we're also proud of our culture and try to use our games to spread it worldwide. That's why many of our games, including The Medium, are set in Poland, or feature Polish architecture or art.
The inspiration and our work have been accepted by the artist’s inheritors.

  2. This is not plagiarism. The description of the game Scorn literally says it gives credit to the artist, H.R. Giger, so you’re wrong. The medium also states that they are inspired by zdzisław beksiński artwork as well. Not only are your arguments unless, you’ve never heard of the word “Inspiration”. Get a life

  3. Scorn basically say the game was inspired by H. R Giger paintings, in the same was the xenomorph was from the Alien series. Also Bekzinski inspired the Dawn of War 3 trailer.
Originality is dead bro, the internet killed it, get over it.

  4. I guessing that you haven't heard of a little something glade "Being inspired by" or "paying homage to a fellow countryman and artist".
It's something that a lot of creators do as a form virtual wink and a nudge to the fans of the other.
It's something that the vast majority of people who consume any sort of media are aware of and are usually joined to see someone paying homage to their favorite artist/creator.

  5. Man this guys is a total dumbass. This wouldnt even hold up in court. If there was such a limit to artist inspiration there would be no new art. You could say the same thing about the last of us and how inoriginal it really is because the zombie trope has been copied at least a million times.

  6. There's a switch somewhere in the world that might turn on your brain, consider flipping it. Taking inspiration from something, especially something like an artsyle is not plagiarism. If it was then all anime would be plagiarism. There is nothing new under the sun, take that to heart.

  7. Wow, what a horrible video. People can be inspired by other artists, it's not stealing. I hope you are just making videos like this to get clicks and not because you believe what you are saying. By your logic, most if not all Japanese animation STOLE from Walt Disney, as it was a huge inspiration to their style. Did most modern American music STEAL from the Beatles? No. Did the Beatles STEAL from the blues? Art is constantly inspiring itself, and this is a fairly uninteresting and reductive take.
