"The Medium" Interview Reveals Ray Tracing Support



Originally scheduled to launch in early December, Bloober Team’s psychological horror game The Medium is now due on January 28th, Among other things, we learned more about the ray tracing features that will be in the game, and we also got confirmation of NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super-Sampling) support on PC.

  1. I don't understand who would install new AAA games on a hard drive. I understand for older games but why would you waste 1 or 2 minutes of your life in loading screens. New games have to large worlds to many assets load all of them from a hard drive is terrible experience.

  2. I think this game will be the best with RTX ambient occlusion. We already saw in Metro Exodus how good this can effect the ATMOSPHERE of a game. I always wished ambient occlusion RTX in a horror GAME!

  3. I don't care for RT shadows, RT reflections are NICE but I don't need them. I really think RT ambient occlusion is a MUST have for a horror type of game. It will increase the atmosphere the lighting by a LOT.
