4. Well, you asked so here it is:

   I struggled to finish this game. It was so boring and such a slog to play. I got up to the part with the water pump and just gave up. I really just wanted the game to end, but it drags on and continues to throw in puzzles.

   The writing feels very amateur. In the cutscenes, the characters just drag on with their dialogue and go in circles before they get to the point. They also talk every slow. The game is such a slow burn that I forgot about the story. A good part of the game was when you're being chased and transitioning in real time between the human world and the spirit world. I didn't like playing as Thomas when he entered the psyche of his victims. That segment of the game was very long, slow and drawn out experience. I did like the concept, and I wish that was the game instead. The problem for me with the story was that it focused on the main character very late into the game so I didn't feel immersed in the story. Until the part about the Red House with the fire did I begin to feel interested in my character and try to understand her, but I'd given up on the game by that point. The game felt tedious to play, and even the characters themselves made similar comments.

   There was a part where you're playing as Thomas, and you're running around in the park, and he remarks about how tedious the experience was. Another part is when the main protagonists said something like "I hope this is over" when completing a puzzle. The characters in the game made comments that reflected how drained and frustrated I felt playing the game. It was like they were agreeing with me. I even unlocked a rare achievement "Running Simulator" or something for running a certain distance in the game. The game also just throws rare achievements at you for completing tasks that are part of the main story, which made me wonder if it's a rare achievement to actually complete the game.

   The split-screen gameplay was interesting, but I think it was unnecessary because you could only access the spirit world during certain moments. We didn't need to see both worlds at once. We could have just benefited from playing in one world and switching to the other. I also didn't like how the spirit world looked the same throughout my time playing the game. I also didn't like much of the layout design for certain areas because it felt very linear when playing in these big spaces.

5. Thanks for this review! I was going to buy it on Steam but seeing after your video I think I'll trial it first on Xbox Game Pass (thank you for putting that in there too) from what I've heard this game was on par with Silent Hill, well, I've only seen IGN's review and they basically said it's none of the bad comments you made, it's actually the opposite lol makes me think how much did IGN get paid to say that 😂👌🏻
