  4. Watching Joe and Ky land on the nose of their car every single jump that last race. I just imagine they completely let go of their controller and think “what an unfortunate, unavoidable angle I have put myself into”

  15. 1st person perspective is the internal perspective of only the player character's awareness. The player character's vision determines what is seen by the player. The player character informs what is seen, as though the player character is saying "this is what I am doing".

    2nd person perspective is the perspective of the game's environment seeing the player character. It is when the game informs what is seen, outside of the player's control. Things like fixed-camera perspectives, or seeing the protagonist through an in-universe camera. The game itself is what is telling you what "you" are doing.

    3rd person perspective is a perspective outside the player character's sense, and outside game's world's perspective of the player character; it is when the player informs what is seen, where the player is the one saying "this is what they are doing".
