The Moon, False Sky and Sheltered Eternity | Genshin Impact Theory, Lore and Speculation

What is wrong with the Moon in Teyvat? Why does it not act in the way we expect? We will begin to scratch the surface of this mystery in this video as we investigate fables of the Moon from mysterious figures, murmurs of a false sky from Scaramouche and mentions of a Sheltered Eternity from Dainsleif. What is Celestia’s goal? Is it suppressing humanity? What could it be hiding.

  1. This is the first part of a series of videos, so I will expand upon things relating to the Moon, the Goddesses, the Firmament as well as all the books I mention.

There appears to be a bit of artefacting with my voice audio, this only occurred after being uploaded to youtube. I'm using new equipment so I'm still trying to work out the best way to master the audio, hopefully it wont be too noticeable/distracting for people.

BGM list in in the description if anybody is curious.

  2. Off-topic: I noticed now, in the Venti sidequest, Venti was just a wisp, possibly a anemo spirit. It was the companion of the Nameless Bard, and when it became the Anemo Archon Barbatos, it took the form of the Nameless Bard. So it got me thinking, Venti as the wisp kinda reminds of the pet the Traveler will get that is Endora. And Endora will be the Traveler's companion. Is it possible that Endora might become the next Hydro Archon and would take the Traveler's form?

  3. I will once again point to the fact that even their chinese titles, refer to demons, their names, are demonic, including paimon's, teyvat derives from the hebrew name for noah's ark.
The archons aren't gods, they are demons who tried to destroy humanity and teyvat is the last place that was saved.

  4. In gnosticism the archons are the angels of the demiurge, charged with keeping up the ilusion of the material world, also that place in celestia were Vanesa found herself when she ascended was very sinilas to a panopticon, a particularly oppresive kind of prision

  5. Very interesting. Think you could be onto something. Celestia is sus. I noticed the moon is always full and I read about the three moon sisters. Was there originally 3 moons? or did they reside over the one moon?

  6. now that Teyvat is a snowglobe submarine submerged in the depth of a dark endless sea, i wonder how our Traveler twins got into Teyvat in the form of what looked like a pair of shooting star. did they pierced through the sky barrier to get through Teyvat? did they got through the endless sea to get to Teyvat? were they aware of that? since they travel between worlds, did they also found another snowglobe world like Teyvat before travelling to Teyvat?

  7. I remember someone mentioned that the moon covers Celestia if you stood by the Anemo Hypostasis location, and they were right.

And another thing worth mentioning is, if you go to the Qinge Village, Celestia would be little tilted and way closer. But if you go to the Golden House domain, it'll look way further, more tilted, and shorter, in other words, rotated.

  8. I'm impressed, and mind blown,
If this is all true then Mihoyo must of done this on purpose, and they must have thought of this, since the very beginning of the game, and for you to be able to figure this out, or even make a theory about all this, is mind blowing

  9. After the last chapter, I think we are in Celestia right now. Because we can find the ruins of the old kingdom that was there where we are, including the ruin guards. And I remember when someone mentioned that the island where the spiral abyss is located now was actually the top of the wold. So we are in Celestia and the entire old world is below water.

  10. This video: "Noah's Snow globe because moon corpse."
Me about a week ago: "Oh, Moon! Pretty picture opportunity with Keqing, best waifu!"
sits at a beach in Guyun Stone Forest
Me holding Kamera: "Moon is always so bright and pretty, makes for GREAT PICTURES!"

    My brain now: Slurp Serotonin

  11. Didn't the destruction of K'HAENRIAH cause the world to turn upside down!? Maybe that has something to do with the moon being the way it is

  12. Im guessing we'll discover more about Teyvat's world formation when we reach Sumeru at least. It's the region of wisdom and knowledge (and Paimon mentions Sumerians can read the stars in the protag's voicelines).

  13. Wow, this was really interesting! Didn't know there was so many possible Hebrew influences in the game, like I knew about the Hypostasis names but didn't think about the name Teyvat and them having similar design to Biblical Cosmology. 🤣 Again, really interesting and an amazing video!
