  1. "If any of you can read Japanese"
    Doto, it's all backwards….

That being said, 1:40 is the button layout of course, pretty standard except L2 reads "unleash" and R2 is "secret technique" which would be the super. L1 calls an assist (a different assist can be called if you input direction on the left stick), and holding it changes the active character. Also, calling them when you take an hit, will have the second character block it for you which consumes the whole assist gauge it seems.

1:43 The layout has gauges for specials, and assists. specials use 20% and assists use 50% of their respective bars it seems. In the bottom corner there's a 'stack' for the super, up to 3 times. Using a super consumes one stack, or you can unleash with at least one stack to continuously drain bar and be in the unleashed state (9:03). The gauge under the stack icon is the unleash gauge, fill it to gain one stack.

2:08 the bottom right panels just say you can input up or down on the left stick to launch opponents into the air or beat them to the ground with the standard combo. Also press circle to chase them.

  2. I love seeing all the cool anime getting game adaptations, but man why does no one want to touch the Fist of The North Star franchise? Japan has multiple PS2 fighting games of it. It doesn’t even have to be AS gory as the show and they’d be able to have a pretty deep roster. Really would love to play with white hair Rei or Toki in a good FoTS fighter
