I think that the debate is totally taken by people who speaks and understand english because they of course can contribute to it where others can't. But EUW servers have a wide range of languages and pings don't require you to speak english, where voice tchat would (tell me that wouldn't be the norm) so like, same way you would put yourself at a disadvantage for not wanting the toxicity, imagine the sheer disadvantage of not speaking perfectly a second language by the end of high school and think about how classist that is (and I mean perfectly if you don't want to suffer through the racist bullshit of the community because they didn't understand you and now they think you are deserving death threats)
I feel like this missed a huge point about Voice: you can mute specific people, in every other game that has it. The default state is actually that most randos don't use it, and if they do and they're toxic or not providing useful info, just mute 'em. Takes two seconds like you already do with pings and text, and you'll be left with either a silent lobby or only people being nice or providing good info.
I had the most wholesome all chat in years in a recent game. People fought in game while they were talking about their dogs and PCs.
being in euw i don't want voice chat because not everybody can speak english. it would never help
losing in flex q hit different than solo duo, probably blood pressure is raising in solo xD
Disagree with many of your points. The whole flex thing is bs since we know people only care about soloque, noone cares about flex. I don't really care if they add voice or not cause both make sense, but a lot of your points make no sense.
Correction, in flex you can play with any ranks you want you will just get a high skill gap message but its playable

If voice chat was in lol, it would be practically useless for most people.
I don't see SoloQ player using it to communicate (except maybe players who are high diamond or above)
And if you're playing with friends you probably already use discord.
I don’t want voice chat, but I do want all chat. My team is way more toxic than the enemy team.
Never heard about girls getting bullied in league, normally every guy in the group starts simping or saying it's okay
"League doesn't need voice chat" yeah, it wouldn't even change the game much, but that doesn't mean voice chat wouldn't make a better game. I have played enough Dota 2, what I've noticed is how little the players use voice chat. Especially for toxicity, the people who are continiously toxic in voice chat are the trolls/psychos, most people who would've written their brains out in league wouldn't bother doing it in voice chat. Most of the time voice chat is just funny, much more wholesome than league chat. Even then, having that ability to instantly communicate something concrete(fuck pings) just makes the game better and more competitive.
Another good addition would be to implement voiced pings. Something like "I'm ganking bot.", "Let's start drake", "For fucks sake MF please stop farming and help us get objectives.". You know, so that people can't ignore pings as much.
Used to invite people to my discord server, but there were too many 'professionals' so I have decided to stop dooing that.

But ,who really cares about how soloqueue was and what its going to be, the game evolves and the point of solo and flex would be, to either already have friends in your vc + some random player or you + 4 random players every game. Also toxicity is a stupid argument because an actual chat leads to peoples complaints being missunderstood and them getting more angry from exactly that.
Also: New friends and people to play with regularly.

i like yoy skooch but all your arguments fall flat, toxicity in voicechat in valorant or any other game is much less than it is in team chat
if not using voicechat puts you at a disadvantage, then that's the point, other games have it and that has never been brought up as an issue, heck it encourages you to talk to people more and be less socially awkward
also no, if i dive into 3 people as tryndamere and die my team would tell me to kill myself, don't know where the misconseption of "women get bullied and harassed more in videogames" came from, assholes will always be assholes
finally your argument that "you can just play flex queue for all chat" falls flat as that's not the point of it, the point of it is talking to the random people that you just met and accomplishing something, i don't want to HAVE to invite people manually in order to play a gamemode noone plays
any toxicity issue can be solved by muting, as a toxic person who doesn't communicate is as good as a troll on your team
if RTB videos taught me anything it's that players are less toxic when in voicechat, they realize they're talking to someone directly and would be more respectful
the ping system is flawed, you don't always have the time to see them and you can't ping everything, and sometimes chat doesn't cut it
also what about other gamemodes? why are we only talking comp? it would be fun to have in aram, urf or nexus blitz, there the games arn't half as competitive and people on them want to have fun and you can easily make new friends through it, i made friends in valorant that i still play with to this day thanks to spike rush

Honest looking at League Pings and at Smite VGS, you should honestly just steal that…
Smite VGS is so good at communicating any and everything, once you understand the commands.
Also they are all Voiced by the character you are playing so people know what character made that call and can hear the call without looking at the map or anything.
Some examples:
VF1 -> Enemy missing left
VB2 -> Enemy in middle lane
VG3 -> Gank right lane
VSG3 -> I will gank right lane
VRS -> Save yourself
VCC -> Be carefull
VQF -> Ward the Fire Giant (our version of Baron)
And much much more… obviously new players don't understand VGS, but it's not to difficult to learn the basic commands.

I used to link discord in norms and tell them yo run a weird comp like perma stuns or all tp till one day i had this girl who was really nice and she told me she had joined a vc and got bullied so bad(i wont go to detail) but yea u get the point. in most solo q games both the chat and the pings don't give any important information, so I really don't see the point

But it's pretty obvious why people want it.
Most people ego hard in solo queue and ignre pings. And if u overping they either int or mute your pings and int hard.
Secondly. Flex rank isn't anything in this league community. It's been indoctrinated that solo queue rank is the only rank that showcases skills and I think riot can do a lot to fix that

Skooch is right all chat might not be the way but relaying information with just pings isn't that easy you gotta ping baron till you run out of pings just so your monkey teammates understand if 3 of the enemy team are dead for another 20 seconds we can take that and then take the tier two turrets they are craving for
Also, this is one thing in the US because you all speak the same language. Imagine voice chat in Europe, being Italian or Spanish and being called slurs you can't even understand
Probably people want voice chat because the pings in lol kind of suck compared to some of the other mobas. the info you get from the pings is not aleays exact. you can for example ping danger for any number of reasons :)))
