  1. I support you bro. I ain’t gonna lie I like rich from reviewtech be he did kinda make me feel bad about the ps5… I know we have to wait for true next gen games and I know that demon souls isn’t the extent of what’s capable but I appreciate you guys work and keeping us updated on the gaming news… if it wasn’t so slow of a start for next gen then I wouldn’t have found YALL pages. I try to comment accurately so it’s all love and respect. I’m thankful for people like you and rich that show different perspectives. Because you both commented on things I agree with. Hopeful for gamers 21-22🙏🏽

  3. The problem with arguing only about performance is that over time it doesn’t matter what machine is more powerful as long as it can truly run next gen games in a next gen way. It’s always the games that are remembered the most

  6. Alot of these fanboys don't understand game development. There isn't a PS5 version that is "ported" to the Xbox. Devs make a version of the game for both platforms. A "port" is when a game like HZD which was built from the ground up for PS4 is then "ported" to a platform it was never intended for, like PC.

The reason Xbox games aren't fully utilizing the "power" is due to the GDK plain and simple. It does not allow them to code "to the metal" like the PS5 SDK (which had always been the one major strength of a closed ecosystem like the console space).
Xbox's priority is making development of multiple versions of a game and its optimization as easy as possible since they have multiple consoles and PC to worry about now. So unless the GDK changes and allows game devs to do what the XDK and SDK did you will never see games fully utilizing every ounce of power in the SX.

The only RDNA2 feature the PS5 is lacking is SFS which the custom SSD and IO should more than make up for.

  7. LOL PS5 holds XSX back? If that's true then why does it still drop frames more often? The argument holds no water. It would at the very least be matching PS5 in all games then, given that both are very similar architectures.

By the way, the Control photo mode is not a benchmark. DF are full of it. What would happen if they stopped for photo mode during XSX framedrops and checked the PS5 framerate then? Obviously PS5 will have at least a 15-16% advantage there and possibly more.

AND I can't help but notice that the Xbox fanboys seem to ignore what Alex at DF deliberately omitted: THE RT REFLECTIONS ON THE PS5 VERSION HAVE REFLECTIONS WITHIN THE REFLECTIONS AND THE XSX DOES NOT. The higher clock allows multiple bounces per ray, whereas more CU's simply can allow more potential rays. Add multiple reflection bounce reflections to the XSX version and watch the fps TANK.

So, how can you take an average difference between them without factoring in the average differences where PS5 has the higher framerate? This is disingenuous at best and very disappointing to see this lack of objectivity from DF.

And by the way, the i/o complex in PS5 isn't going to be utilized on a multiplatform engine, and the PS5 throughput advantage is far greater than the raw GPU XSX advantage. That means it is the PS5 likely, being held back.

  8. Sony 1st party studio did things beyond my expectations with PS4. Spider-Man open world game, interactive AI, minimal load time, crime system that work, etc. Also not forget other games like Ghost of Tsushima. All these hv give me confident Sony 1st party studio will develop great games and not disappointed the fans. Reality is none of any Xbox Studio give me that kind of confident, including recent acquisition i.e. Bethasda.

  9. Yea I like my Xbox. I’m not really interested in a lot of PlayStation games. I’m looking forward to picking up a PS5 sometime in the future when available. I’m looking forward to the shooters on the platform. Not really interested in the rest of the games. MGB, you have some interesting opinions. But I’m glad you’re enjoying your PS5.

  10. Mate heard you out and have a lot respect for most of the things you say.

However I just cannot get behind a price hike in games. The world is suffering a horrific pandemic and we are feeling the pinch.

I cant afford to pay $120Aud for ratchet and clank however I've loved that game for the better part of my entire life since the ps2 era.

Gamers shouldn't just roll over and cop it because it's a long time coming.

Any one lucky enough to have a job atm let alone afford a gaming hobby should feel blessed.

Remember that PS it's also going to lose millions of users that are going to go for an Xbox before a PS becuse of those elder scroll, Doom or fallout. Puff Even more if Xbox acquire Sega or WB or Even Square..

  14. Interesting how you mention less views. I've noticed that PlayStation related content seems to be having less views recently. For example, this SkizzleAxe dude's views have been less, too, apparently. Heck, even the official PlayStation channel seems to getting less views. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  15. Stick drift is a serious issue I have personally dealt with the entire ps4 gen. & them throwing on a bunch of extra haptics which probably make it worse is not a joke. Sony owes a whole bunch of people a whole bunch of money for knowingly selling defective products.
