About Video Game Sophistry:
Video Game Sophistry is an opportunity to celebrate the creators and the artistry found in Video Games. I believe that Games are the most effective medium from experiencing another world, and another way to live. Expect to see a series of videos showcasing the narratives hidden in every game, interviews with game developers, along with our bench mark weekly podcast, Dialogue Wheel.

Andy Borkowski started this program nearly 10 years ago and, in that time, it has changed from a simple YouTube show, to a radio show, a TV show and now once again a YouTube destination. Welcome to VGS.

  1. I absolutely love that Heisenberg tries to convince Ethan to join him, rather convincingly as well. It's adds so much more depth to his character and the game and I found myself sympathizing with him a little bit, but we all know if he used Rose to kill Mother Miranda he surely wouldn't just give that power up and would probably betray Ethan. Definitely a great idea from Capcom, instead of just having all the villains be one tone murder machines. Loved it.

  2. Knowing Rose ends up in pieces, hearing her crying and seeing them reaching for her in that flash from her perspective, and being the mother of a one year old myself broke me. I was struggling with this game already but that scene made me turn it off and I haven't been able to turn it back on. I just keep seeing my baby in that position and knowing how frightened she would have been and the pain. Crying for her parents to save her from the predator and make the pain stop and make them safe again. Post-partum tucks with your mind worse than any horror game.

  3. I wish there was an option to work with heisenberg. I would’ve loved more of him. Maybe there’s DLC coming where you work with heisenberg and Ethan survives or something.

  4. oh i get it. miranda took the four lords in, in hopes they would be a candidate for eva. she discovered none of them were, lets them do whatever they want, and then finds rose. she takes rose and splits her into four giving one to each of the lords. she knows that ethan will kill all of the lords to get his kid, so on and so forth.

  6. Interesting fact: in Russia Heizenberg's voice actor is the same person who vocalized McCree from Overwatch. I guess, it's the best suiting voice actor for Heizenberg's character.
