The truth is… I quit playing it because it’s boring. It’s too restrictive with your movements and the combat is just annoying. I don’t like the dark theme and the bland color palette. It looks like a last gen game. My friend talked me into getting it, even though I knew I wouldn’t like it, so it’s my fault I guess.
Damn that's strange
The outriders launch? Not good? I knew it with the technical limitations
This game is amazing. I love destiny 2 but damn I havnt touched bungie in months. This game is amazing and I love it
Difference between this game and Destiny: Outriders is FUN!
Good to hear the loot system is great, rather tempted to try it but I'm unsure how the class/sub-class customisation is.
Do sub-classes add any customisation, e.g. totally different skills? Or is it just talents that give buffs to existing skills or weapons?
I’m glad you’ve been able to enjoy this game and make content on it but still be honest about the problems
I think games like these aren't afraid of how OP they make things because there is no pvp. When it comes to pvp balance is essential because if it is not balanced then players will abuse what is op and any competitive experience is ruined. In a solely pve experience balance does not matter as much because it is just about how much fun the players are having and not how "competitive" they are vs other players.
That's my only criticism of Outriders, like Destiny, it's a little overcomplicated with the perks. I play to have fun, not get a PHD.
I got bored after crouching behind yet another concrete block … 🥱
this game looks amazing but can anyone here who is max level and in the endgame part tell me is the endgame enough to makeup for 0 pvp. I played Borderlands 3 and it has no pvp and it was extremely boring after a couple of days just killing a boss over and over. game looks great but i cant have a BL3 repeat.
Outriders feels like phantasy star online… so in other words, it'll die in a month. I wish it was a first person shooter. Third person just feels too low budget
This game is dope!!!
The way Kack Daddy says "DI-ablo" gets me fired up 3:28
That helmet in the beginning was giving off big Oryx vibes
Let me tell you a tale of ERROR 37….
I dont have a problem with the loot system but having played the demo It just wasnt worth 60$, I didn't have enough fun to make it worth that price imo. Posting this for people considering getting it, Try the demo first before committing to buying it.
I'd take this perspective a bit more seriously if it wasn't sponsored by the publisher. I've played for a few days now, servers permitting, and I'm not seeing how this game gets glowing praise here. Movement in this game feels like they basically took the controls from their previous game Gear of War: Judgment and some of the time the character is moving to the wrong cover even when you're staring right at the wall you want to cling to. I also don't fully understand why they approached this game saying you don't play this like a cover shooter and then proceed to include the cover mechanics and every battle takes place in a similarly designed area where a ton of structures only exist to be cover.
The powers, while cool, are also overshadowed by the bullet abilities. There's almost no viability to an anomaly build when the bullet abilities are able to chew through encounters. This especially applies to the massive bosses that either aren't affected by the anomaly abilities in a meaningful way or are simply out of reach, leaving you to only be able to use your guns in a long battle.
On the matter of the mods, they're both the game's greatest strength and most glaring weakness. While the ability to customize mods on any weapon is nice, that basically makes most, if not all (including legendaries), guns feel completely unremarkable. Aside from aesthetics, why hang on to a legendary at all if the mods are the only thing that make it legendary and those can just be put on a run of the mill purple drop? It would feel more epic if a legendary had an intrinsic perk and gave you a reason to hang onto it instead of breaking it down once it's damage is outclassed by another ordinary gun.
The guns have a few archetypes that feel solid and feel like they have impact while others just don't have that satisfying feel of guns in other looter shooters. Being a third person game doesn't mean you can't still feel like the gun you're using has a personality of its own and reason you come back to it.
All of this being said, I am having fun most of the time, but don't see this being something I keep coming back to. PCF didn't design Outriders to be a live service game and that feels right because I don't believe I'm going to come back to it once I beat the story and try out a few expeditions.
Edit: I said guns a lot, but everything said about guns also applies to armor in regards to mods and the desire for intrinsic perks.
Is this games 3rd person only or can u switch it to first person
Truth is its trash feels like a clunky gears of war. I couldnt stand it. Wont buy.
Love to hear that its so good
Makes us realize actually how damn good Bungie and the Destiny franchise is 😛 we need to appreciate it more!
Umm doesn't weakness lower their damage output while vulnerability makes the take more damage?
Outriders is such a great game, even with the server and disconnect issues and the fact they allow you to go nuts with your builds is so good, only downside is its not a live service game but i really hope People Can Fly keep this game going and bring out regular content updates
It looks like a mix of warframe and destiny
Played the demo. Aside from the floaty shooting controls, the lack of a jump and the infuriating run being cancelled by tapping the stick again… the games actually really bloody fun!!
New game, new intro please
Dude is spitting the truth this game is great I’ve been itching for this game since destiny’s launch division is good but it hasn’t scratched the itch like outriders has
NO KACKIS YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO PLAY DESTINY IF YOU PLAY ANOTHER GAME I WILL UNSUBSCRIBE!!! >:(
Did the demo and I didn’t die once so you don’t die that much
This game looks like another Division 2/Anthem situation to me.
You wouldn't have crashed if you was drinking advanced gg bruh! Lmao
I think this game is kinda like Anthem, I t started with a good idea and was bad, but instead of leaving it be, the devs are fixing it and I’m loving it. My only issue I’m having is that some of my side quests are broken.
Besides the fact that the multiplayer is a broken laggy mess of disconnects. Besides the fact that for the first three days you couldn't play for hours on end. The game is severely lacking content and feels as if the developers really didn't care.
1. No effort was put into the story.
2. Zero effort was put into testing as it's a glitch mess with tons of exploits.
3. Crossplay doesn't work.
4. End game is just recycled content placed in new arenas with more hp and dmg.
I have put 40+ hour in and I'm starting to realize the game is just a puddle the developers are trying to convince us is an ocean.
If you are looking for a game to kill a weekend or 2 with friends go for it otherwise don't waste your money.
Where was the criticism? I heard 12 mins of "gold standard" and "breath of fresh air" lol. A shaky launch has little to do with the actual quality of the game. That being said I am enjoying the game a great deal, but feel the sound is sub par and the music just sucks. It's like like that goofy sci fi Anthrax guitar rift from Ghosts of Mars. I have a decent home theater and the sound fx are pretty flat, where as I can plug in Medal of Honor Frontline for my Gamecube and be totally blown away storming the beaches.
I love the synergy in outriders, it kinda shows that destiny is being held back by it's pvp modes
Tried the demo, crashing and everything wasn’t my problem, it was that the game’s controls were clunky, the graphics felt like it belonged on the Xbox 360, and the combat was unpolished and shallow. I can see why some people like it but not for me 👎
Outriders is absolutely broken on the Xbox One X side.
It crashes for extremely absurd reasons. I went to talk to npc and it crashes. I'll slam into a group of enemies, game crash. I will load into a game, game crashes. I will watch a cutscene, game crashes. If I dare sneeze, game crashes.
Not to mention how fairly doodoo the graphics are. I saw Channa wave a glowing red stick with no textures around, I'm thinking "were the hells the light coming from?!"
The cutscenes, oh my gosh the cutscenes, there a soo many loading inbetween cutscenes, taking the Emerson out of the experience.
But after all of that… this game is like eating a strawberry cheesecake, SO GOOD!
Khakis always keeping it real ? Nah not really
I agree
I never got a purple or gold to drop the entire time I played the demo so I said fuck the rng in that game lol. Not worth my time 😂
