The Two Towers video game was a genre defining masterpiece that not only succeeded in capturing the feel of the movies, but also in redefining what we expected from the action genre.

  2. I went and picked up 2 towers and return of the king a few years ago since I never really got the opportunity to play them as a kid and either they didn't work, or my wife thought they were old garbage and threw them out, I'm not sure but I still haven't played them :.(

  3. Ah, the good old days… I still have my GameCube copy of this game. Played it somewhat recently for the nostalgia, actually! Tried Gimli (mostly played Aragorn back in the day) and yeah he is kinda the worst…

  4. There was this Lord of the Rings game for PS2 that was basically a final fantasy rip off with turned based combat and from my memory it wasn't even bad. It also had co-op! Maybe check it out

  5. The rumour I heard was Boromir was a secret character. That would have been fun. Isildur is a rubbish secret character as he’s just an Aragorn Clone. Yes it makes sense he is being his ancestor etc but it’s a let down as it’s pointless to have him. Also I guess Sam Merry and Pippin don’t exist. Return of the king is a better game in design and I would have loved that engine and gameplay in a trilogy style so you could play throughout the entire story as theappropriate character. It’s a shame nowadays EVERYTHING is Lego. As fun as hat is when you hear that the Lego lord of the rings was going to be a live action lord of the rings game and possibly hobbit game it just makes you long for that instead as you want the real thing.

  6. Cantina have you played Yugioh Forbidden Memories on the ps1? I mean I still love it and have fond memories but damn, it is so hard and unforgiving. No wonder most players just use Twin Headed Thunder Dragon lol

  9. LOTR Games at this time were so good the two towers, return of the king and the third age were all so good. I especially loved return of the king playing with my older brother and loved third age for the more rpg aspects.
