People are afraid of using them, due to a probable long term side effect is that the user will go insane, so no one dare to extensively test them!
Skipping one nights sleep once in a while, with those, are tested to be Ok.
But… They are addictive…

Oh it hurts my immersion they cut trees, build wells, water wheels and leather buckets before Oldowan tools! Argh, that's so WRONG. Imho they should already have Oldowan tech to do anything that is done here.
