#XboxSeriesX #ALLTHEGAMES
All of the game footage shown in this video was captured directly from my Xbox Series X, with no modifications done to the device. This video was made to address the misconceptions about the Xbox Library and to demonstrate the massive amount of titles spanning multiple generations of gaming consoles.
This video covers the following:
Xbox Series X – Xbox (Original) Emulation
Xbox Series X – Xbox 360 Emulation
Xbox Series X – Xbox One Enhanced Emulation
and Retroarch Running on the Xbox Series X

What game do you want to see most added to the Backwards Compatibility Program?
Phantom Dust!!!
Great vid
We should have a community Phantom Dust night. There's still an active community for the multiplayer. There's a Facebook group to find games if nobody's on matchmaking.
Lost odyssey was a nice touch there
I wish my SNES could play Japanese games… Instead, I had to cut it open and smash off a tiny piece in the console… And I still couldn't read what was going on…
legit thought child of eden was kinect only. had it sitting on my one x dashboard for ages when i got it free for gold a while back. guess i can give it a shot now.
I was about to buy the PS5 over the XBOX Series X/S and I am glad that I decided to wait before buying one at launch, but thanks to this video im just straight up on the fence. As a big fan of Jrpgs, my initial choice would be a Playstation console. But lately 8ve just been feeling burned out on the genre as a whole. Luckily I still have a Nintendo Switch to play Jrpgs on, but if I buy an Xbox series X, I'd be probably missing out on playing P5R on PS5.
19:34 There weren't thousands of funko pops on the shelves, not a real gamer confirmed.
retro arch on the series X is the main reason why i would get a series X. it would be good to have a compact system that i can take where ever since i cant put my PC into my backpack lol so i may actually try and get one this year once things calm down. also the backwards capability would be nice for the few 360 games i have as an added bonus
While I definitely agree that the Series X is vastly superior compared to the PS5, I feel like Retroarch has a long way to go until most games can run butter smooth on there. It's a solution that's best reserved for those ridiculously priced retro games..still, I prefer playing stuff on native hardware and enjoy the thrill of hunting down decently priced games for the PS2/GC era. Once Sony plays tug of war with timed exclusives you'll probably change your tune anyways, Miles.
I already own an Xbox One X so I'm in no rush to upgrade, but once they start adding more games to the backwards compatibility program again I'll probably trade my XbonX in for a Series X. It's awesome seeing the kinds of resolution boosts you'd typically only see in emulation through official backwards compatibility, especially given how rough emulating Xbox and Xbox 360 still is on PC.
you're skits and editing is so much better then the recent AVGN episodes
It amazing to see the massive turn around Microsoft has done since the launch of the XBONE nearly a decade ago (I still can't believe it and the PS4 will be turning 8 year old this year!) in order to build foster good will with the consumer when the virtually lost it all way back when with the rumors surrounding DRM and the like. On the opposite end of that spectrum, Sony is basically going out of it's way to do the opposite. Not only that, but they have been pretty piss-poor in actually communicating with their base (it took a long while till we had real confirmation that yes, it could play PS4 games). I guess this goes to show what being 'Top Dog', you don't have to do cool shit, in fact you can pretty shitty, but consumers will flock to your product with branding alone. It's basically how Nintendo was in the late 80s till the mid-90s, until they got their teeth kicked in by (ironically) Sony and even Microsoft in the 2000s with their N64 and Gamecube.
I really hope Microsoft continues to expand their library of backwards compatibility titles, especially in regards to the Original Xbox. I was shocked to see that BREAKDOWN of all games managed to be one of the lucky few to actually get the Backwards Compatibility treatment, as now I can be fisted by like 50 shirtless bald dudes in HD! I'd really love to see more titles like Otogi 1 and 2, Silent Hill 2 (the OG Xbox version)/Silent Hill 4, Gun Valkyrie and especially Jet Set Radio Future.
Good job, Miles. Hopefully folks will actually critically look at what's being offered by the two, rather than solely jumping on board with console primarily (but not always) due to brand recognition and misconceptions.
Phil-sama wins again, babbbyyyy!!
Glad that the new Xbox delivers! Extra neat that older games can be free from screen tearing and slowdown.
I like collecting individual (sometimes overpriced) old games. I just seem to care less when playing an emulated game than when I’ve purchased the physical product. That being said, it’s great that emulation has come this far.
It feels more and more important with game preservation with every decade that passes. And media like floppy disks have always been unreliable. Therefore I’m grateful that I can now use an FDStick to load Famicom Disk System games into my FD RAM adapter instead of buying several faulty disks and having the rubber belt replaced ever so often. So even someone like me can benefit from modern solutions.
Dang, this is such an emulation beast. Best all in one machine right now.
sony is woke trash
Seeing Breakdown get the attention it deserves from MS and this channel brings a smile to my face. And so did that auto download of Lost Odyssey! How do I join the Guchfather's mob?
You've sold me on this console this generation, no question. Every title shown and the rationale makes the Xbox Series X the number one option. And finally I'll be able to play games like Disaster: Day of Crisis that we never got in North America.
In my Opinion The Xbox Series X is the best gaming machine in the history of gaming. It’s absolutely 🔥🔥🔥
Series X is better than sex.
Gotta say you sold me on this one, tho waiting for a price drop
YouTube gotta get their shit together because they are SLEEPING on uncle hikiko
Thanks for this info, definitely going to look into getting one.
Great viddy man!
Yo me and my dude adam, the one and only CabezaGrande, Señior FatHead, watched this one together. It was a great watch. You cracked us up and now BOLTH of us are thinking about picking up a series X for the living room.
Backwards compatibility is the only reason I'm going to eventually buy a series X, because it offers nothing else. I'd buy one day one if I could install Windows 10 on it and run any Win10 software I want on it, because it's far cheaper than building a new PC, but I'm not aware of any functionality like this.
how on earth do you get retroarch not running in dev mode? i cant find the answer anywhere lol
algorithm comment 🙂
The region free disc install thing and the phone streaming blows my mind. We live in the future now.
Wow, didn't know about the Lost Odyssey region free thing. Gonna track more JP games from now on. Thx for the info!
How good is the PS2 emulation? That's the one I'm mostly interested in (as well as the Dreamcast), and since Sony doesn't seem to give a shit I'd have no problem getting an XBSX to use solely as a retro system, as long as the emulation is near-perfect. Already tried on PC, it's not quite there yet. You have to tinker with the settings during gameplay sometimes, not really ideal for me.
Miles… More like Smiles at #ALLTHEGAMES
My 980ti died and I had to dig up 8y/o 670. I am playing #NoneOfTheGames
Very informative video ❤️
I have a couple of questions for you Hikiko
How Does the XboxSX handles DLCs for old backward compatible titles like Alan Wake and such ???
Can you stream on streaming platforms while playing backward compatible games and emulated retrogames on Retrospection???
Thank you in Advance and keep up the good work 💪
