  1. YouTube Movies, thanks for this film. However, you forgot to mention in the setting the period in which the story occurred, as it relates to the date. Furthermore, you also forgot to mention the release date of this film.

  3. I wish for once people would leave their political comments at the door and just talk about the videos and
whether you like the movie or not. I like reading reviews especially old stuff like this, and it saddens me that people think they must throw their politics into every facet of media including movie comments sections. I'm very close to powering down my phone permanently.

  4. No blessings came to lost tribes but the bastards that followed Ephraim to the promise land. Sure got rich who mixed with Ishmael in ancient times and vowed to keep Isaac's people slaves forever.

  5. Thanks, YouTube, for this epic film with a cast of some of the best and well known actors of that day. I assume they were part of the thousands of settlers who traveled along the Oregon Trail that occurred in the mid 1880's. You can Google The Oregon Trail to learn much about the pioneers who made their way from Missouri to Oregon and how some settlers splintered off and went to other places, including California, Idaho and Wyoming.

  6. People, this is how it was done. Those scenes of them traveling to their destination was harsh, brutal, physical and laboring. But the dream wouldn’t go away. They were going to get there no matter what.

  7. Sally Field sure was a little cutie back in the good ole days. She held on to that cuteness for a long time. I still laugh when I think she actually made a TV series called the Flying Nun. Wonder how long it would stay on the air today….about a minute maybe.

  8. I love this movie!! Takes be back to the adventurous spirit of America!! I keep watching such movies to keep myself in that spirit! Because, you never know that the future will bring with the current way of this country…..so much hatred ..so much corruption…so much non-patriotic feelings…people even burn their own country's flag – shamelessly!! My heart is heavy with burden to see such things…at lease these movies keeps me hopeful that one day…America will rise up and be the beacon of the world again!!!

  9. When the wagon train leaves Independence and heads north to Nebraska, in the background you can see the little known Mo-Kan Mountain range, which have to be skirted before crossing the Kansas River.
