Things I Would Change in Minecraft

Things I Would Change in Minecraft. Minecraft has changed a lot from its inception, but some things have been left behind in my opinion. In this video i share my opinions on the things I’d love to see changed in an overall “quality of life” update.

Disclaimer: This is not a complaint video at all, I love minecraft and appreciate what every update brings – However as a veteran player who minecrafts everyday, I want to share some ideas I’d love to see in the game. Some of them may surprise you.

Personal thanks to Scar, Tango and other Hermits for their input on this video

  1. Those of you suggesting water for building under: it is a method that I did not include in the video, it's not ideal because you can't remain stationary, you drown but most importantly it breaks all grass, torches and redstone beneath you, which there usually is one. Very good point there are other methods – however none of them are a perfect fix, even bonemealing warped roots, they are under the block.

  2. cubfan did a video a while back and suggested a "deep pockets" enchantment for pants which gives you more slots. best solution imo since pants have no other unique enchants.

  3. You cant re-dye in bedrock either it’s so annoying because I keep accidentally making stacks of green stained glass when I’m trying to make lime dye for lime stained glass!

  4. Regarding your idea of unlocking inventory slots, suggesting an enchantment. What about an enchantment book you can find in a deep dark building once belonging to a tailer. This book called something like "deep pockets" can be applied to your leggings and will unlock the extra slots. What do you think?

  5. Hey Grian- two things:
1: technically, if you make kind of a 1 shape, you can use crimson vines to build below. Maybe not ideal, but it works.
2: I might be wrong, but I think you can adjust your creative flight speed with /attribute – again, maybe not the most ideal, but it works.
(And if not specifically flight speed, I'm almost certain you can adjust movement speed; which should let you fly quicker?)

  6. i agree with the inventory buttons like how stardew valley has the organization and transfer buttons however i believe that inventory management, while frustrating, is crucial to making the game balanced with fun and difficulty. as many players have pointed out the player has immeasurable strength in what they're already able to carry. adding maybe a backpack feature with another additional button to double inventory space could work but i just can't imagine creating a new save and being able to carry an entire biome's worth of blocks in my pockets. tldr; inventory space is frustrating but necessary to limit in order to have a balanced game. just my opinion

  7. How about we update dogs like make them a Lil bigger and like you can breed them into surtin tipes of dogs like for example hunting dog, fighting dog, family dog, farming dog ( for cows pigs you could make them herd animals by giving the wheet and stuff) snow resque dogs, fetching dogs, gard dogs. These are just some examples of things dogs could be breeding into like they do in real. It could even hilight the ishu of over breeding like how they do with pugs.

  8. One idea I like for inventory management is the idea of a “pile of stuff”, which would basically mean the player could just naturally be able to pile all loose items together into a single stack of 64. And if you right click the “pile of stuff”, you can open it like a chest to reorganize. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.

  9. The trading hall might be “easy” but it takes a lot of time. It doesn’t need to be changed. Not all of us have all day to play Minecraft. So that is where I disagree but you’re awesome keep up the great videos.

  10. I think minecrafts biggest issue is the development team. It's a relatively small team considering Minecraft is the best selling game of all time. They have ambitious ideas that never happen. Everything they do is free, which is nice for gamers, but there is no way they can afford the extra resources that it would take to take minecraft to new heights 🤔. I feel like they missed a golden opportunity as well. 1.18 could have absolutely been sold as minecraft 2. So much changed! A free update of that magnitude is just bad for business.
