Today I will be quickly reviewing the Early Access title Valheim which has stormed onto the scene and is doing very well. I thought I would give it a try and see what the fuss was about and now I am absolutely loving it! Hope you enjoy this review, let me know what you think of the game in the comments!

So its viking minecraft? nice vid
Good video.
When I saw it I thought that you had some 500K+ subs but I was surprised.
Heads up good video.
I might give this a try
Decent video, thanks.
You might want to state your GPU model when discussing fps/ performance.
So do the server work like in ARK ? or can i just invite friends to my own server ?
This game has so SO much potential even though I don't enjoy it myself just yet. Everything is there I just think it needed an extra polish pass before release to early access. However, I'm so excited for this games future. The only thing I can't stand is the art 'style', it's incredibly ugly. You can make a somewhat pixelated style look good but this game is straight up ugly. I haven't seen the developers say this is their style so I'm hoping it's in a kind of placeholder state, but if it is it need a HUGE overhaul before full release.
This game reminds me so much of Oblivion, not so much the quests but the style of art! Love the video bro
This game really blew up
If I could play with others in pvp . This game would be fun
I actually don't think a skill tree would be good, I think leveling up your skills by actually using them is perfect. I feel like some games include a skill tree just for the sake of having a skill tree. Great video though!
My wife and I are addicted. just entered into the age of bronze and about to set sail for new lands.
does the movement in valheim remind anyone of gothic?
Gotta build a boat man. Use the iron nail one. Its game changer
I think a good way to fix the first con of missing enemies with melee is some form of lock-on feature, similar to the Dark Souls or Zelda games, where your character will continue to look at them and swing higher/lower depending on their elevation.
Good review, I have about 20 hours in and it's a great game so far. My wife just started and had a few hiccups finding my server, but not too bad. Needs a few quality of life changes maybe in the coop and building variety, but I'm still early game. Cannot wait to build a boat, or better say, need a boat. Safe travels, everyone.
i got 2 bosses down and farmed iron already im gearing up for boss 3 now and bro trust me these bosses hit hard and its great that every boss is unique and need unique preperation, although i have to say the optimization isnt close to finished when u buy a couple more objects like palisades the game will drop alot of fps etc. still im super hyped about my next adventure. (ps: i love how the life unfriendly reagions really show you how hard they are and u will get the note that u dont want to stay there for a long time the swamp is a good example)
Harpy not a raven thx but no thx
In good survival craft games, building a base serves multiple purposes, and not just an enlarged inventory. In ARK, for example, you've got to build bases that can survive dinosaur attacks and player attacks if on multiplayer. Same goes for a game like Rimworld, or heck even Minecraft requires a base to protect against foes. I could be wrong, but I get the impression Valheim has no such utility for bases.
