BTW, another thought is the ratio of whatever you're trying to assemble – you can have the inputs on the same side for a 2:1 ratio, for instance, and just be sure to keep the 2 part of the ratio on the inside. Other tips and tricks to manipulate the amount of input on a belt, such as splitting, will help as well.

This game is amazing and i hope that you continue with this lets play. I like how organised your power distribution is and organisation for assembly yards. Keep it up.
I started out by making approximately 40-50 Wind Turbines, and setting them up around the South Pole (It was closer, and the landing point I had didn't have all the space yours did). I use the Tesla Towers for transission. Also, Coal becomes Graphite, which is better for the Mecha AND power generation.
Also, you might want to consider setting up a storage unit completely disconnected to the manufacturing. And use it to store things like Titanium (of which you DO get on the starter when you mine single rocks by hand) and Silicon, organic crystals, and the like. You need these later, but right now, they are dead weight taking up space.

Empyrion you grind, to build, to explore and conquer new worlds and expand your empire etc etc.

Interesting looking game. It's worth a play through, however, I won't be watching simply because it's 3rd person. I need 1st person to see if I can immerse myself in it. If I can, I buy the game. Thanks, though, for showing it. Question: why would anyone name a place after a vacuum cleaner?

Nice video. I'm already playing the game and preparing to go hunting for titanium and silicon. Your videos gave me the idea of using storage boxes to build a surplus and act as a buffer. I'll say this when using the red cubes for research, X-ray cracking seems to be a dependable way to get more from refined oil since right now I can only use it for thermal generators.
Interesting game. Might consider getting it sometime. Will watch a bit more before deciding.

I agree with what appears to be the majority here, more please. A different perspective for both of us in a way, as I believe you know of my origins, even if I am somewhat of a competitor in some regards with our primary focus. /Smile
When placing miners, make sure each one covers 6 sources, and extra miners can cover the same sources, so long as they have 6 each.
I am addicted to this game already. There is something very relaxing just spending an hour eachd ay just fiddling with those bloody machines. So keep them coming Spanj, I am curious how you proceed and like it once you get over the initial stage. Just a waning: keeping the whole production lines neat and orderly as you do.. I tried, but the recipes get ridiculous after a while so my planet looks like a whole spaghetti mess. And power is a challenge

Love your videos usually Spanj, but got to say I think Dyson Sphere is a miss not a hit. While I find you engaging dont love this game. What the game is missing is tension, which makes it for me a little dull. What makes games like Empyrion interesting is the challenge and the fact that things can and will go wrong. When that challenge is removed it takes from the watchability of the game long term. If you want another series to run I would suggest 7 days to die. It is much more fun to watch. Finally Spanj, a massive fan of yours and followed you for years, criticism meant constructively.
Game would be better if pirates or aliens tried to blow up your stuff now and again.

Spanj, would having a storage next to the assemblers be better than using sorters to split the product from another belt? Have the belt run from the furnaces to a storage near your assemblers then have belts from the storage to each assembly line.
I think that you can filter items with the sorters and later the splitters. It is possible to have your coal, iron, and copper all on one belt going to storage and then use the sorters to filter it out to dedicated belts at the assemblers. Remember this when you need to transfer a lot of things a long distance. They don't all need their own belt. Once you unlock the faster belts, this becomes a much more economical way of moving things, even if it goes against our desire to not mix things up.
Once you have unlocked the stacking of storages, you can start working the belts at levels. The sorters work on odd numbered levels. Use even numbered levels as transportation lines.
As Gold Dragon mentioned, turn the coal into graphite. It is a better energy source for your mech early on.
Definitely keep the let's play going. But then again, I'm the kind of guy that I hate jump cuts in my YouTube videos, lol. YouTuber: "I just cut out the grind". Me: "That's part of playing it, don't cut it out."
