  1. I played this game Side only.
I'm already back in Azur Lane, Princess Connect, Blue Archive & Blue Protocol since Genshin Impact not really enjoyable unlike the first day I played.
Next time I try to buy Console for Monster Hunter Rise.

  2. These are two games that are weird to compare because in reality FF14 has been out for over 10 years. Genshin Impact has only been out for 1 year.
I see your point about how the game feels redundant after you finish all of your quest for the update, but Final Fantasy is the same way. There’s just 10 more years of content to play through.
Genshin Impact is a great, beautiful game. It’s very relaxing to experience. The ambience of the game and fluidity of the combat is something final fantasy lacks.
In FF The atmosphere of the game and fights are very mundane. The enemies mostly just stand still while 10-20 players spam there keyboards mindlessly (I understand there’s combos). I am seriously not a fan of the auto attacking fight system. Idk man FF just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve fallen asleep during these fights, leveling your character feels like torture, and the community is not noob friendly at all. In Genshin I’m excited to level my characters and their personalities are all unique. The whole game & story just Feelsgoodman. It’s like a breath of fresh air. A Breath of the Wild one might say.

Also Genshin is free. You have the choice to pay for characters & weapons. It’s made like that not only as a cash grab but to have uniqueness in each players experience. It’s the whales that don’t understand Gacha and have to buy everything that comes out trying to be a completionist. In Final Fantasy you have to buy the game, then you have to buy the monthly subscription, then you have to buy each expansion that comes out. I like playing Genshin knowing that I can play the next expansion of Teyvat for free. I like knowing that I don’t have to buy any of the new characters that come out to enjoy my experience unless I really want too.

Again really weird games to compare. If you like MMOs like FF14 you should go play a game called Phantasy Star Online. It’s FF14 on crack. It’s infinitely better

  3. honestly, 2-3 hours a day is enough for me to play this game if more than that. ill drop the game because i have life too. i have family, i have work and so on. that is why 2-3 hours per day is what I can give to this game and this perfectly fits my healthy lifestyle.

  4. I tried it, didn’t like it at all. Too complicated, too time consuming, etc.. to be fair I don’t normally like RPG’s/MMO’s. But I will say I know many friends that loved that game and played it a lot.

  5. I like the casual way of Genshin and it's kind if reassuring for me that I can play this little by little for a long time with content added continuously even if slowly. Best part is I've always have kept other stuff to do for when I'm not playing Genshin, whether it be another game like Honkai, Hades, etc. or something else entirely. And that is what makes me love Genshin even more, I don't play for hours and get burned out but rather play slowly over time.<3

  6. People complain about f2p monetization and gacha, but subscription based games are far worse. You pay full price or if it's old a discounted price then they hold your account hostage while extorting a monthly fee out of you.

    No, no, no.

  7. I agreed with most of your points in the beginning of the video, however, it soon went to a weird direction.
You are comparing apples to oranges. A free game, that is also a mobile to other platforms gatcha game, to a subscription based MMORPG.
Then, you started listing negative points about other MMOs you played in the past, while also adding some points pertaining to Genshin. I'm sure it wasn't intended, however, given the intro, title and how the you meshed everything together, it may seem like you are attributing those negatives to Genshin.
This video would have been much clearer if you simply had it as a game review for FFXIV, and added the occasional paralel to Genshin.
    Very odd comparison…

  8. I only have about an hour to play before bed anyways. Life is too busy. Genshin is currently my main game because it's the only game I have time for. People blow though the events but for me I barely have enough time and end up scrambling the last few days to try and complete the events.

  9. I understand that for most of you content creators, where games are literally your job, you have MANY hours to sink into the game. But the sad reality is that most of us don't. I wish I could go back to those days, and I wish FF14 had come out back then, but as of currently, I just don't have the time to experience ff14 fully. Genshin, on the other hand, is NOT an mmo, and I prefer it that way as I am able to reach the endgame, and max out my characters WITHOUT having to rely on co-op, friends etc. to do raids / dungeons. Why?

    1. I have a full time job
    2. I'm actively socializing in the hopes of finding a life partner
    3. It's hard to coordinate with old friends to sit down and play games these days as we've all reached that age where people are having kids, commitments, etc. These are friends that I grew up with playing games like World of Warcraft and Dota with. Those days are long gone.

Having Genshin be there to "scratch" that rpg itch, with constant updates, and horizontal progression is GREATLY appreciated, as we just can't keep up with all the vertical gear progression treadmills of most mmos. Heck even Guild wars 2, a game famous for its horizontal gear progression took WAY too much time to grind for gear.

Gear in Genshin? Log in for an hour a day, burn through my resin farming artifacts, update my teapot, and log out. Simple, satisfying. In fact when new events come out, I'm quite overwhelmed. I BARELY finished this recent event on time due to real life commitments (mostly due to the fact that I have TWO accounts…. yea I shot myself in the foot there rolling a second one).

For players like me, Condensed resin is a GODLY time saving tool, Spiral Abyss is "just enough" endgame, and daily commissions are fast and effective. THAT is why Genshin is so damn popular. It's casual, and yet is quite meaty in terms of content for those of us without much time to spare.

  10. I haven't spent a single cent on Genshin which is why I'm enjoying it a lot more than any other games. I've played all FF games since FFVII plus tons of other triple A games on ps1 to ps4. You'll get bored of FF14 sooner than you think.

  11. i started playing at the beginning of february and i just started getting that feeling of i don’t wanna get on and play anymore. ive reached ar 51 in that time. i really thought it was going to take a lot longer. i’m still gonna get on because i’m trying to get to floors 11 and 12 of the abyss but other than that i’m bored. i hate everything about this update other than my new zhongli. i want the new region so bad i miss exploring. my map is about 95% explored mannnn. im glad i didn’t know this game existed on release i’m not sure if i would’ve kept going until now. at least leaks about new islands have been getting my hopes up.

  12. I have watched your videos and you are one of the nice streamers out there. While I appreciate the objective of the video, it just feels like distateful trying to promote a game at the expense of the shortcomings of another. I have played Final Fantasy before. It is a good game. However, presenting how good it is like this, takes away from how good Final Fantasy is. It can be promoted on its own merit.

  13. not gonna change my game to FF14 that game boring me more than genshin.. if i want a main game that is coop/mmo its not FF14 its blue protocol or other single player game that came out this year… theres a lot to choose from but not gonna touch ff14 again.. mmo era is over.. mmo's now are all boring, p2w, grindy and toxic.

  14. to be fair, and I'm not trying to defend MiHoYo here, but pretty much every game's endgame is grinding artifacts/runes/armor or whatever to min-max your stats. The issue with Genshin is that you can more or less reach this endgame after a month or two of progress.

  15. okay, this time I'm gonna actually defend Genshin. While I can understand why people like Co-op, I absolutely despise games that force you to play co-op. Even if you do have friends, you can't always sync your playtime with them.
Also, I find a free-to-play game with microtransactions much better than subscription based or paid games. Some people simply can't afford buying a game and just want an escape from their reality. That's why I like f2p-friendly gachas like Arknights and Genshin.

  16. Guess I will give FF14 another try. I've been thirsting for a good MMO experience for a long while now hence why I started Genshin Impact, but it kinda doesn't feel right. All MMOs I played before have died or became money grab machines and a balance nightmare as well.

  17. Yes, of course =D
As a long standing FF fan, I love FFXIV, it's the best MMORPG hands down.
Can't pay the monthly fee tho =D
It's more expensive than my monthly water bill here in Brazil (because the dollar price skyrocketed and you can only pay for it in USD =D )

  18. I think this is what the majority of whales across many gachas, experience. It's too easy when you can spend money and all you really have to do is grind for rng based artifacts, which admittedly can get tedious. Especially when you have to do it quickly in order to create content. I'm very gracious for the content btw . But as f2p I'll continue to take my time on genshin and still enjoy it . Part of the draw for genshin for me is the open world and artstyle, compared to FFXIV. Blue protocol may pry me away
