  1. There is playstation now which is basically the same thing as gamepass. You pay a fixed amount each month and stream games. Already doom, fo3 and Vegas are already on there

  2. According to a majority of previous rumors and reports about Starfield, the game is releasing sometime between late 2021 and late 2022. Sounds like maybe I’ll get to play a playable version of elder scrolls before I die. Maybe. But most likely be as broken as Skyrim.

  3. It would be a huge advantage for Sony to agree to having Game Pass on ps4/5. Not only would they have access to future Bethesda games, they'd also get access to the Halo, Gears, Forza, and Fable series all in one. It'd be downright stupid of Sony to say no.

  4. hmm… oh man if only Gamepass became a multiplatform service even for Playstation… that would be freaking amazing. I know it will never happen but one can dream.

  5. I always try to approach stuff like this with cautious optimism. Sure, MS is a company that needs to turn a profit in their gaming division, but those deep pockets do provide way more flexibility in business decisions. There will probably still be some unsavory monetization, but I always think of how much a talented pool of what game devs can accomplish if they're not solely focused on keeping the lights on. I like to think of Obsidian and Grounded: it's a weird, experimental game that Obsidian probably would have been hesitant to make if the expenses were coming out of their coffers. Thanks to Microsoft's money bags, they can afford to break off 30-50 devs to work on this passion project for a few years while the main staff works on Avowed, and maybe an Outer Worlds sequel.

Obviously, the comparison is equating this to Netflix, where some weird sh** will find a life it would never have been able to without more stable financing.

  6. When you say "Xbox and PC Exclusive." It's a good idea to add that it's likely "Xbox and Win10 Store Exclusive."
Just because you can get it on PC, doesn't mean you're gonna be able to get it through your preferred storefront.
