  1. Enforcing minimum wage most of all does not help potential employees who seek jobs. It is already proven. Government wants to help farmers so government makes laws enforcing minimum price of beef ..sounds good but does it work? Maybe in Soviet Union or Cuba.
    Let the market decide.

  2. Most low paying jobs were never ever meant to be a careers , These workers chose the low paying jobs that they are working, I've worked hard all my life and never asked for nothing unless my employer thought I was deserving, being causation never got me favorable advancement and I think it's wrong to place skin color as a tool for advancement !!!!!!

  3. Gop the party of billionaires hahaha! God forbid a family of 4 be able to pay the bills hahaha! Let's see here since 1989 billionaires aka the 1% saw a net wealth increase of 24 trillion the bottom 99% saw a net decrease of 4 trillion in wealth lol. The debt at that time was less than 1 trillion lol. Fast forward to 2021 the debt is 23 trillion and counting lol. This causes inflation which leads to devaluation lol! So wages stay low but everything cost more thanks! Then in the mid 90's the gop made it illegal for healthcare providers the right to negotiate on prices now the USA pays ten times more annually than the next closest nation hahaha! Republicans spend 53% gdp on the military annually lol bankrupting our nation lol! Trump literally wasted 1.7 trillion dollars on the f-35 program that's being scrapped by the pentagon lol but no way in hell your getting affordable healthcare, living wages or college debt relief we have to waste trillions on the military lol and tax breaks for billionaires lol who pay nothing in taxes lol! Social welfare for the poor cost less than 1% gdp annually corporate welfare aka socialism for billionaires cost over 3% gdp annually so they can stash money offshore, buy stock and ship jobs overseas for cheap labor lol! Who's the gop work for? It clearly isn't the bottom 99% lol

  4. Only the middle class pays taxes, the government must protect and promote the middle class.

Capatalism only produces poverty and elites, it's a government experiment that's makes a middle class.

  5. Minimum wage should never tap out. When USA reached $7.25 an hour, a new one should have taken place…USA would have already reached $15 an hour…Or establish a cost of living wage instead of minimum wage…if cost of living goes up when a Republican is president all wages should go up also..Why does only Government employees get cost of living wage increase ?

  7. Tom is not qualified to speak on minimum wage…raised with a silver spoon… I know this because I live 3 miles from his parents… Tom never worked in high school but had money to purchase marijuana… was given 4 wheel drive truck to drive…now this does NOT make Tom a bad person just unqualified to speak about minimum wage because he was not raised on minimum wage…

  8. Lol. I wish i could get paid $15 an hour to angrily glare at people while abusing their meals by angrily slapping meat on a bun, slamming a tomato on it until it's juice makes the bun soggy, dropping a piece of cheese, picking it up and wiping hair off of it, slamming it on top of the tomato, throwing pickles on it so that half the pickles are on the wrapper and not the bun, and then smashing a 2nd bun on top so hard that the sandwich squishes into a tiny half inch circle. And then throwing it into a bag and hurling fries into it so hard that half the fries end up at the bottom of the bag so that your bag is greasy and the grease gets on your car seat.

  9. This is pretty rich though, there was an opportunity to pass a minimum wage change literally a week ago and every single republican voted against it because…. ? We need to stop believing politicians by how what they say on tv and start paying attention to how they vote

  10. Here's an idea.

Keep the government out of the economy the same way we keep it out of religion.

Government power either pro buisness or pro union is inherrintly unfair

  11. Well, that´s a load of horse-s**t…
It´s not like wages are the biggest "part of the cake"…
    It´s worked everywhere it´s been tried…
But of course the US small businesses are such snowflakes compared to those in any other country…

  12. "The GOP's move to be a more populist party"
I think you meant to say "SOCIALIST party".

    This man is an idiot.
Central Government control over prices, wages etc. is Central Planning.
That is what Communism and Socialism as systems are based on.

It's absolutely re-tarded and historically and economically illiterate for a republican to suggest this kind of garbage.

  13. This is the worst of both worlds.
Minimum Wage is an Economically illiterate concept, and to then claim it's a good idea because it will go to "Americans first" doesn't make it any better, functional or good.
It's still the same backwards concept.

Raising the minimum wage will only eliminate jobs or move them overseas. Period.
The market, businesses etc. don't work on an imaginary arbitrary choices made by politicians,
politicians can't just dictate prices, wages and costs and then the market magically works that way.
The market will and always does eliminate any inefficiency, it doesn't work under the basis of Government dictation.
If the jobs aren't worth more today, they won't be worth more because you legislate that they're worth more.
They will more likely be eliminated completely.

Because companies already run their services and productions under tight budgets and profits.
If government is going to start destroying their ability to make any sensible profit to even run the company and employ people, they will simply eliminate those jobs than bleed money for jobs that don't generate any more value than their current wages suggest.

  14. Cease devaluation of our Dollar and fight Inflation!
$15 minimum wage are you that fiscally irresponsible?
Why do you wish to continue to devalue our dollar? Homeless as well as working poor will only suffer job loss as well as the inflation of food, fuel, housing ! Hamburgers are already pushing the $5 mark . How are the jobless homeless that have no place to cook going to afford fast food?
Foreign refugees will be the only ones who prosper by sending more money out of our country further sending our economy further in debt!
Where are the fiscal responsible leaders that fight inflation ? That the necessities of life are affordable! Devaluing our dollar by irresponsible spending needs to stop!
Printing money is not fiscally responsible! We where one of the "Richest Nations" and irresponsible devaluation of our dollar is driving our Great Nation into third world status!
Put an end to outrageous minimum wages so the least of us can afford a hamburger, gasoline, a home ! Devaluation of our dollar constricts our economy ! Fight inflation be fiscally responsible and build our Countries "Wealth" make our dollar's Great again ! Not a useless piece of paper!
