  2. There are games that are amazing that aren't on this list and I think every game on this list is great, that's how you know 2019 was a great year in gaming. I don't think we've had consistently great years in gaming lately but the standout years like 2016, 2019, and 2020 have been amazing. Also glad to have you back Gamertron my dude <3

Games that weren't on the list that were also amazing include: Resident Evil 2R, Apex Legends, Dusk, Modern Warfare (yes a call of duty was actually great), Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, and I've heard good things about Sekiro even though it's not my cup of tea. Also in 2019 it was nice seeing Bungie not being terrible again with their Activision split and free to play varient.

My games of the year were:
    1.) DMC5
    2.) Apex Legends
    3.) Resident Evil 2R
    4.) Gears 5
5.) Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

  3. Great video im so happy to see Metro Exodus so high up in the list.
It deserves recognition for how truly amazing it is.

And since you love metro, may i recommend that you keep an eye on an upcoming game called STALKER 2 thats coming later this year.

The people who developed metro had previously developed the STALKER games and its amazing franchise!

My most anticipated game of the year for 2021 is Stalker 2 with Resident Evil 8 as second place

  4. Imma be real, Arc System Works is often the most robbed fighting game devs out there. Personally, the only real fighting game I really loved from 2019 was Kill la Kill – IF. The game is so much fun. Basically take Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and Dragon Ball Xenoverse, and turn it into a fighting game with graphics and art style that’s a mix between 2d and 3d, a pretty neat story mode for those who aren’t very interested in watching the Kill la Kill anime, and absolutely amazing combat and controls. It only depresses me then that it doesn’t get as much love as something like Jump Force (A game I didn’t like). Arc Sys is one of those devs I see so much potential with. Especially with Guilty Gear Strive coming out this year and getting some warm love and attention. And it pains me that it took a Dragon Ball game for Arc Sys to get any sort of attention at all from main stream audiences. It absolutely pains me that Kill la Kill – IF quickly became abandonware because it’s one of Arc Sys’ more unique fighting games

  5. Right one time! Now we wait until 2022 for the top 10 games of 2020. ;D

As for games of 2019 that I played.

    Mortal Kombat 11
I liked the story and also the Aftermath story DLC, I didn't mind the retcons that much.
Sadly I enjoyed the gameplay in MKX more and unlocking cosmetics is a bit too grindy and random for me.
The PC version does some really cool things (60 fps for everything that's locked to 30 fps on consoles, 21:9 support!) but it also crashes a lot on my PC, because of with I actually prefer playing it on my Xbox.

    Borderlands 3

I'm kind of cheating on this one since I only started to play it last year.

This game did some things that made playing with friends much easier.

Enemy levels scaling for individual players and items existing for each player individually makes it a lot more fun to have a friend to just drop in, without having to worry.

The gun play also feels better than in previous games and there is a character whose ability is a pet Skag. Something I wished for since the very first game.

    Metro Exodus
I liked the previous Metro games, and I really like that this one adds some really cool features. Like changing your weapon attachments on the fly (reminding me of Crysis).
But I must admit that I still haven't played through that game.
And I am surprised how much hardware this game needs. I can't hold 60 fps on very high with a RTX 2070 Super, and that's without Raytracing.

    Gears 5
I like pretty much everything about this game. It plays much better than any of the previous games.
Everything I didn't like about it when it released, was fixed post launch.
I was pleasantly surprised that it even got a campaign DLC one year after release.
I really like the campaign, horde mode and PVP multiplayer, the only mode I don't like that much is Escape.

    Devil May Cry 5
I'm pretty new to the DMC franchise. I only played the Reboot before, and I really liked that game. Sure, you can argue about the story and characters, but the visuals and the gameplay where great.
I don't want to play any of the previous DMC games as the all have fixed cameras, something that massively puts me off.
So when I bought DMC 5, I was surprised how much it plays like the reboot in some ways and massively improves on it.
Every character plays great in their own way and overall it's just a lot of fun.
I like how DMC 5 doesn't try to hide that it is just a video game, like Doom Eternal also did.
When I got an Xbox Series X I also bought the Special Edition to get all the new extra content.
I may have only played 2 DMC games, but I am now a fan of Devil May Cry and look forward to whatever is coming next, be it a sequel or a remake.
And can we just talk about how great the soundtrack of that game is?

    Jedi: Fallen Order
I really like Star Wars, so I must like this game too, right? Sadly wrong.
The combat feels slow and clunky I never really got into it, add to that some technical problems that were even present on the Xbox One X and my experience with this game wasn't great.
I can see why others like it, but it's just not for me.

    Rage 2
Like with Borderlands 3, I only played it this year and also haven't played through the story yet.
The combat feels good, the driving is fun. The overall game is just fun, but I can't really say anything else about it.
One thing that upsets me is that I bought the Deluxe Edition on sale, but didn't get the Deluxe content ingame. This made me really not want to play the game as I felt cheated.
Just last month I decided to give it a second chance and buy the DLC separately, and this time it worked like it should.

  6. Gosh i hate the whole power rangers, colors of the rainbow ninja design in Mortal Kombat. Fatalities are fun when see it for the first few times but when i see it for the 10th time i am just like: "stop it, he's already dead!". The gameplay, gamemodes and ammount of things to do is truly amazing tho.
