Top 5 PVP Mistakes To Avoid In Escape From Tarkov…

Escape From Tarkov is definitely about more than just PVP, but the player vs player fights are what make the game what it is. The stress of coming across another player at any time and potentially losing your gear is what gets the adrenaline flowing. Check out the new video where we talk about some mistakes to avoid when getting into pvp in Tarkov!

  1. I honestly feel like if you don't treat the game like it's your day job you're not really going to enjoy it with the advice people give. Memorize all armor and ammo all spawns all maps all routes all cracks in the wall like jeez.

  2. Nope you gotta loot every body that hits floor no matter how long you have to watch it. Maybe thats why my surv rate is only 44%…Oh well, at least I know that when I do leave a raid, I'm gonna be overflowing with loot.

  3. Peekers advantage is a big one too. If you're holding down a door or staircase (especially crouched) you're actually vulnerable to rushing players. All they gotta do is hip fire into your face while you're crouched trying your best to track them.

  4. Lol after a kill I always Hammer and tell myself: THERE IS ALWAYS ONE MORE BE CAREFUL. But yesterday i had 8 kills on Woods, was looting all the bodies. Got killed by someone camping a kill i made 20 min before :))))

  5. I think It's always important to bear in mind how knocked about you are from one PVP fight to the next. As the likely hood of winning the next fight and getting some lucky armour saves diminishes pretty quickly if you had a couple of blacked out limbs a 50% wrecked armour used 3/4 of your meds….So ultimately try not to ride the highs too much, and know when to call it a day.

My second word of advice what I call big brain plays (personally these are my favourite moments in Tarky), I find this will win you more fights, then the Rambo style plays.

Ultimately do what you enjoy and brings you that Tarky Magical Moment!

  6. Bang on with the tip about not sprinting too much especially in CQC. Just killed a level 62 today doing that to me in resort, goes to show we all still make mistakes. Couple that with keeping your muzzle pointed chest / head level and you're way ahead of your opponent. 👍

  7. Defo true on the too slow playstyle. If you're too slow in general everyone is ahead of you and they get better positions. If you get into a fight or you hear other player and vice versa it's still better move because if you make noise, they know of your presence anyway and the first thing they're gonna check is the place where they think they heard you. People are such simpletons in this game most of the time, they get contact and there's instant tunnel vision and the only place they're interested is that one place they just saw you at. Just flank and watch the position where you think they last heard you and there's a good chance they're sneaking up on that position.

As for looting I'm more on the Pestily side of things – you get a kill and you make a choice of whether to dive in for a few seconds and pick up something (or do a very quick full loot if you think it's safe enough) or you wait. I'd say go for quick loot every time you're undergeared and you kill a thicc boi because people don't rush in with no fear most of the time so you can grab their weapon, 2 mags and go on with fighting. If they have better gear then it's not an even fight once they know what's up, take every advanatge.

  8. I keep getting headshot off spawn…. Learning spawns doesnt help when I load in run ten feet and get shot from 150m because youre supposed to get in cross map fights instantly like its Dust 2

  9. you're totally right about not taking every fight. I'm not some aim god like landmark or pest. I need to put myself in positions / fights where I have an advantage , more than just my aim. I like PvP but I try to be careful about which fights i take. It's really helped my SR

  11. Spawning in tarkov is still horrible even a bit over 1k hours…. like on shoreline i die under the 2 minuts mark very often, the map takes 3 hours to cross and is gigantic, but somehow BSG think it's a good idea to spawn us on top of eachother… idk it's kinda bullshit to me getting spawnkilled in maps like that…

  12. Dont pick every fight is great advice! This wipe I have 57% survival rate playing mostly solo because I don't try to go for pvp and I choose my fights. As a result I have a bit less pvp but I end up winning most fights I choose to or have to take.

  13. My most common mistake is wearing a helmet. 9 times out of 10 get one tapped in the head. But when I wear daddy usec hat and mustache, I get headshot 2/10 times.

  14. I’m a purely solo player and even I know I play to slowly but I can’t get out of the habit cause I’m not confident. I’ll say in my head I need to reposition but I just won’t move cause I second guess myself and say maybe I just be quiet and wait and then I die most of time. But I guess I just need to make myself do it

  15. I want to leg my friends so bad when they are constantly sprinting, they make fun of me for yelling at them for it. They run ahead to get loot and I'm far behind walking but now I just let them make themselves a target lol

  16. U missed the LARGE 6th one…. ALWAYS make sure you are painkiller’d up… even ur first clip shows it, u lost the fight because u were hobbling, if u had pains u can aim decent, and run away if needed

  17. 7:45 good point ,im lvl 53 (got kappa) playing second wipe (1500h) and most of the time solo (6.5 k/d) good player i'll say not a streamer lvl but close and many many times i get 3 or even 4 kills but there is always the 4th or 5th men in the squad and kills me …its so annoying when you kill 4 full geared pmc with a mp153 with ap20 but you dont go and loot them just because you know there is one or 2 left sitting in a bush and camping the boddies …i had many raids where even if i try to find them campers with grenades or waiting they ovewait me and i excract without loot xD im starting to play with termals only for this reason .

  18. also good tip is when you play in a team ,keep distance from each over like 10-20 m because most of the time i play solo and get killed the guy killed me jumps instantly on my body to loot , greed is underated in tarkov ,we must use that knowledge

  19. can i have some advise?
I've been keeping track of how I'm dying and recording them and it seems the three things i die from are hearing footsteps and then going to a close corner where theyll come around the corner and I spray them but in tarkov they just prefire and pop in and I usually die.
another way is just emptying my mag in panic and missing a lot of shots although i'm getting a hang on that.
The last way is to scavs where i think I have an easy kill on one and then another comes up from another direction and legs me or something and im just fucked in between them.
I was wondering if its just practice I need or is there a way to approach hearing them first and understanding where the advantage would be. Like what am I looking for in terms of terrain or cover and placement ya know. is it better to hold a corner further back or close up? just things like that.
thank you for any tips! i played in like 11.5 and for a while back then but I seem to have lost my skill lmao. im just getting back into it and im at like level 13 with 1.3 mill or so
