I feel like the vast majority of games out there have secret levels in one form or another. Makes sense because a developer doesn’t have to worry so much about no one finding a hidden level since the internet exists and you’ve got to know that someone’s already put that walkthrough on YouTube before th end of launch day. Still, a fun challenge if you don’t use YouTube like a coward.

10:34 How can someone who hasn't played Dark Souls understand what the "bullshit" means? Why is she not visible? Is that what's bullshit?
You're losing it, man. Love you to death, been a fan for years. But it seems like…you lost something. Bring it out. I know its tough. Its tough for all of us. Be better. Youre worth it.
4:40 …it's not even him but it's a cursed image
Top Five Time Rabbid Luigi has made a correction to a previous video in a completely separate one.
Top 5 things the Internet willed into existence in video games.
Guys do NOT watch the last five seconds of the video because there is NO secret message there.

Though I'm not sure it counts as a "game", Neopets has Jelly World. All the areas on the planet of Neopia (and the nearby space areas) could be traveled to on the world map, except this one obviously. The admins deny it exists, and to get there, you have to manually enter the url for it, which is made more challenging by how there's a filter blocking anyone from mentioning the url on the website.
I feel like the vast majority of games used to have secret levels. I feel like it's not so common anymore.
Either that, or devs have just gotten better at hiding them.
Note that I do think there's a difference between a "hidden" or "secret" level and an "optional" or "bonus" level. If Mile High Club just "unlocks" after beating the game, I don't think it really counts as a secret level.
I'm still on the fence if, for instance, Goldeneye 64's extra levels would count, since I seem to recall their existence being obvious, but the method to unlocking them not being shown anywhere in the game.
2:40 for the actual video.

Top Five Secondary Characters that Deserve their Own Games.
As someone who knows absolutely nothing about Diablo, your speech about how the cow level DOESN'T EXIST and how weird it would be, and then mario kart… I was honestly anticipating the biggest reminder that I can subscribe and click the notification bell ever
Top 'Insert Number' where the Villain-Protagonist was a hero all along.

The fact that the Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal secret levels aren't on this list is a tragedy.
An entire hidden level only accessed through either completing the game 100%, or through a very obscure "pseudo" out-of-bounds, or a teleporter that only activates at 2 am on the PS2 clock. The hidden level is a replica of the floor plan of the office of Insomniac games, creators of RAC, and fittingly the level is called the Insomniac Museum. It contains exclusive audio recordings of various developers discussing the game's internal workings, showcases incomplete/cut content, lets you even enter a sort of debug mode to create your own particle effects, has programmable and extra playable minigames, and entire testing areas demonstrating world units, jump height/distance, and walkable angles.
It is truly an incredible secret, but its always left out of these sorts of lists. As are most PS2 classics. Everyone just goes for the Nintendo classics, as usual.
A really cool secret level is Niflheim from Tales of Symphonia. Not only is it so obscurely hidden most people don't even know it exists, it's a 20-floor dungeon with unique visuals and music that becomes a main plot-point in the sequel. On top of all that it has an added boss fight in the remake that is bar-none the hardest fight in the entire game.
I actually found the secret world in Super Mario World without looking it up. I'm not sure how I found out about it. I do hate how hard it is to unlock certain levels in certain Mario games. I don't have the time to try and complete 100% of the game just to access the secret levels. I like that in New Super Mario Bros 2 you can easily access the extra secret levels if you save up your Star Coins instead of spending them. Why can't it be that easy for the other games? I played Mario World on the Super Nintendo. 4:03 I just swim over this level and not through it. The names in the Special World are based on '80s slang not the '90s. Tubular is so damn hard to get through >_<. I don't like the fact that Awesome is slippery. I think I needed Yoshi to help me get through. I also couldn't just cheese the entire level by flying over it because there's a tube halfway through that blocks my path so I had to get under it first and then I could cheese the rest of the level. I was actually a bit confused when I got the bad ending of Symphony of the Night when I played it for the first time. I was like, "This isn't the real ending is it?" Good thing I looked up that there was indeed an actual final boss fight with Dracula. If there is no cow level then where did the footage come from?
