For today’s video we’re gonna be talking about traps in League of Legends, and why I think despite seeming like they belong in the game, they should be removed.

I love how Viego is in all the annoying categories lmao
I like how Viego is shown as an example for 3 of the 5 hated mechanics you gave us as examples.
Best yuumi counter: Cait + shaco. She'll never be able to reattach
I miss when teemo shrooms had 800 base damage
I'm a newer league player and I don't say this mindlessly.
No trap has ever made me irritated a whole lot. Shaco boxes is the one that gets me anywhere annoyed. If it acted like Fiddlesticks passive and only feared on opening but didn't fear when it was detected it would make some more sense.
Of course, this is still a nerf so it would make sense to give it a bit of power in return from it no longer being a no go zone for melee's. Two things I can think of is upping the AP scaling by a 1 digit number or slightly extend the fear of the boxes by a minor amount per level.
i searched up the patch history for nidalees trap to look for something and apparently it used to count as a unit that could be used to get bards stun off before season 7 lmao
I like traps overall but want them to be rethought, as you said, they are currently un-interactive and only good when ahead. If they could implement them better then we could start seeing traps be used again.
One word. No
I'd say Cait's traps are the most interactive, ironically. You can see them, enemy can see them, and it is a bigger threat than most of the others. As an adc, anything that helps keep distance and any form of hard cc is gold.
You said Jhin is the best designed champion in the game. Jhin has traps. Therefor, traps are good. 😛
as Shaco main, i know for fact that even late game, traps are super useful, and yes it is about psychological warfare, having boxes in unexpected places messes up their whole team, "boxes are not were they are usually… but maybe they are now?" and with dmg that takes you to half health, you can see how frustrating it can be. My first three games with Shaco, it was 2/3 ff of enemy team, but all three were wins
Some of your points are just wrong. Just ask any AP shaco or Teemo main and they'll tell you that placing traps in the middle of a team fight still exerts a ton of reliable pressure with just a little nuance. Furthermore, a teemo or shaco who's behind still does plenty with their traps. Teemo can have one item (liandry's) and contribute so much with just one trap going off at a good time during a team fight, same for Shaco with how much CC his traps can provide.
Quick question: why is there alwaysa yumi in your footage hahaha
jhin's trap : have to be played around and needs a cc to deal damage
nida's trap : only to proc mark basically
teemo's : it''s an ultimate and deals all his dmg with dot items
cait's : they are destructive but visible
shaco's : stupid as fuck GIVING A CC ON AN INVISIBLE SPELL YES THANKS
yes please
me: coming for a lol video
vars: So, in Yu-gi-oh
You are aactualy wrong about Mejai's Soulstealer its actualy good item if u are behind because just asist acn make u so much more stronger
You said you can see Caitlyn trap but she can literally just put it under tower and you can see it because the tower blocks it also using well you can just get control wards and oracle. Like no one does vision control under plat and even if you do get them the time it takes to clear them basically tells were you are and slows you down
Traps can 100% be a part of strategic gameplay. Diverting your opponents attention to minesweeping a zone of the map can slow them down before you secure an objective. It’s a valid expression of at least forethought if not skill. Also, Caitlyn’s traps are a part of her kit, especially pre rework and you had to predict/combo/auto cancel(;-;) her traps to land all of your damage on an enemy. Certainly a lot of skill expression there
12:37 Laugh in PinkWard tricks
How could you forget Soraka, the biggest trap of them all (if all that r34 banana stuff is cannon).
Why does everyone that talks about traps forgets about Maokai's E?
I don't know if putting viego in all 3 main characters is intentional just to roast viego but even so I find it hilarious xD.
r/animemes be like
I would actually say that the most fair and well designed trap are Zyra's seed. They are not considered trap in the game, but you know that if you want to step on one when Zyra can trigger it you are going to take a lot of damage. They effectively provide area control, a way to disable them without risks, and an interactive mechanic since zyra has to trigger them.
As a cait main
Placing a trap between you and a Garen and then dancing around it in circles as he tries to hit you is the greatest thing ever
remove venti oh wait wrong channel
So Many yugioh references. What’s your favourite deck/archetype?
trust me, I main shaco, I wish his trap would be replaced with an actual damaging skill. same with the passive and ult. the box is only good for blocking skillshots or farming camps. he literally has no AD scaling ability that he can use in fights, that isnt tied to his auto attack. you wanna build him AD? all skills do magic damage. AP? even if you get on top of the squishiest member of their team, you, an assassin, dont have damage without your W or them killing your clone. most you can do is throw your e and run.
