personally i think zoe was too fast to jump into rage mode. i understand her issues and these days you can select your gender on any given day so i see the "dead naming" as a problem but i also understand the tournies stand point too. they cant just have guys walking in with wigs on saying they are a woman. its not like they take you behind a privacy screen and ask you to "show" them you are a woman.

Cancel me if you want, but I really hate this whole idea of a Trans gendered person competing in gender locked events. Frankly speaking we either need to do away with gender based competitions at all, or we need to stop this because it just plain hurts the integrity of any sport this way. What is the point of having a female team, if biological males can play on it. At that point, better to just not have male and female team and just have a pro team, thats it. Pro team, best players play, regardless of gender. Gender locking any sport or competition, and then letting trans compete is defeating the purpose of the gender lock in the first place.
Also, genuinely, if it is true that most of the top female teams, have biological males on them, then again what is the point of having a female vs male league????? Why have that distinction at all? Either Gender doesn't matter or it does. If it does, then maintain the gender lock, if it doesnt do away with the gender lock and make everyone play on the same court…
I am so out of the loop on this whole thing… How can a person undergo this huge and long lifechanging procedure and then not bother to change their name and get a new ID? I am not American so maybe its just really backwards over there. Anyways good luck, I hope this gets resolved fairly.

I had a name change during COVID not for gender but for after I immigration, leagal name change don’t take a lot, you dont even need a lawyer if you can get your documents to the government by yourself, and it only costed my family less than $100 for a name change
