  1. I tell you what is the difference (i have a 2070 too). Without ray tracing i get more than 90fps all the time with ULTRA settings (1080p). With RTX on my fps slow to 25-28fps, and with DLSS set on Quality i can get 45-48 fps. With DLSS on performance i get 55ish fps most of the time, but the game is blur as fuck.

The gigantic loss in performance for just some pretty light effect for now is not worthy. Fuck Ray Tracing, this game is gorgeous even without it.

  2. Honestly RT does shit in exchange of the FPS hit you get. The game practically looks beautiful in almost all scenes without the rtx. If anything there’s to take from a rtx card would be that DLSS. I play on all Ultra I mean “Psycho” with RTX turned off on a 1660s with R5 3600. And a Kingston nvme. My avg FPS is around 30-32 so far. If you’re on budget then I’ll suggest you to wait it out until the game gets a price cut or at least some patches. With how buggy the game is now I wish I would’ve waited. The price isn’t worth paying.

  3. Using Ray Tracing is just not worth it imo. Too much of a performance hit. I can get a constant 60-70fps on ultra with Ray Tracing off (1440p Ultrawide) on my 2070 but barely stay above 30fps with Ray tracing on.

  5. Look the same with rtx on and off I rather have the frames but the game look hella nice already with out rt on , dls helps alot tho honestly that's the only thing nvidia did a great job on

  6. Don't be sad that RTΧ doesn't change much. Be happy that the standard lighting is so well made that it's almost life like. You're getting RTX visuals with no performance loss.
